    Yes, retaining the arm launcher is a let down. But the 3 Delhi class destroyers will be transferred to ENC, so probably IN is modest in the upgrade. But if they follow the pattern for Shivalik class and retain the arm launchers, I will be much more disappointed.

    Definitely, four of this along with 4 ADA class (Babur class) corvette and Jinnah class frigate will give their Navy decent firepower. 4 existing frigates and the two opv/ missile vessel too add to the capabilities.

    Efficient? In a mission based deployment, it might not be tasked to destroyers to attack shore based installations of enemy. Humble frigate or ocean going corvette/ missile vessels might be tasked as well. Now think, the number of assets the enemy has to track in order to save their shore assets.

    Not necessarily. I don't think warships cannot fire LA variants of Brahmos. Steep dive variant though in probability might not be used from warships, but normal LA versions can be fired though. In 1971 Styx were anti ship missiles which were used to target Karachi.
