Breaking cover at #IMDS2019, Russia’s Lamantin (‘Manatee’) next-gen nuclear powered aircraft carrier concept. 80,000 tons and powered by 4 nuclear reactors, a derivative of the Ulyanovsk, Soviet Russia’s 1st nuclear powered carrier that was abandoned with the break-up of USSR.
I really think Russia needs to stop with large surface warships. Russia ought to stick with submarines and ships surface ships no larger than frigates. They are a land power first and foremost.
They previously showcased a concept named Storm which was an A/C with 100K weight, which was supposed to carry navalized PAK-FA.I wonder what happened to that? It was also offered to India, just like british QE class A/C, as reported in the media.
