We now have Collaborative Threads 
In the Knowledge Repository anyone can now start a collaborative thread. i.e A thread where the thread starter can give permissions for other people to post. If you want a thread which is exclusive and needs limited participation then please open one in Knowledge Repository.
PS: Political and non-military threads are not allowed there
How to use it:

How to use it:
- Create a thread in Knowledge Repository. This automatically becomes an exclusive thread. No one else can post
- Click on the "..." button next to Watch/Unwatch thread button. Then select the "Thread Collaboration" dropdown
- From the "Thread Collaboration" dialog you can add collaborators who will have the ability to post in the thread
