It is very hard find pics, even more hard find descriptions as is almost all in Japanese...

I think actually this is the most relevant, the TACOM (TAyouto COgata MUjinki) UAV is a multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicle air launchable by F-15s, it is aimed to replace some recon tasks of the RF-4s and P-3s, it is due to enter in service in 2010 after final tests in Autumn 2009 at Ioujima. It have a pre programmed course by GPS, it can reach 12 km of altitude. After the mission automatically return to base.

The Phantoms will be phased out by 2012, several F-15s will receive synthetic aperture radar pods and they will replace the Phantoms in reconnaissance duties.
