I read an article that Pakistan was pretty pleased that the Dasu attack, provided the necessary momentum for the Chinese foreign minister to meet ISI pup Mullah Baradar.. Goes, to show that Pak Gov. might have a hand in it.. And also, that the Chinese at their heart ( atleast Xi Jinping gang ) are actually cowards who can't hold their nerve.. and are rushing to hedge against a Taliban takeover...Long thread on various major taliban factions active right now , he is implying closer Taliban are to power more they will fight with each other.
may be true at this point in time, but from a afghan point of view factionalism is a part of their culture. they won’t mind a decade long infighting if it is going to get them a leader who is going to unite them all at some point. everyone wants to be an emir and are willing to fight for it, is a different issue.
Credit goes to ISI here.. if only there were departments within GoI with such level of persuasion skills.I read an article that Pakistan was pretty pleased that the Dasu attack, provided the necessary momentum for the Chinese foreign minister to meet ISI pup Mullah Baradar.. Afghans are denying these claims.
In short the message is Pakjabis and other Islamists should follow him to his god, go to Afghanistan and die in drone strike.
Pakistan is like a Bakshu , with grand plans but often fail in first step. The game is between US and China and China wants all options in the table.I read an article that Pakistan was pretty pleased that the Dasu attack, provided the necessary momentum for the Chinese foreign minister to meet ISI pup Mullah Baradar.. A nuclear armed nation like Pakistan, with a population of 22 crores.. can only be inconsequential and without agency in a fully unipolar world and unipolar asia.. With the world increasingly heading towards being non-polar albeit with 2 most prominent poles of US and China, countries like Pakistan, acquire greater importance, especially, when the emerging superpower China, is in such a bad geographic position, with the first and second island chains hemming it in, allowing China's enemies to threaten its trade routes..Pakistan is like a Bakshu , with grand plans but often fail in first step. I think Afghan forces counter offensive started in Helmand.
What ever, Pakistan is what it is from the beginning and it is getting exposed now a days.A nuclear armed nation like Pakistan, with a population of 22 crores.. can only be inconsequential and without agency in a fully unipolar world and unipolar asia.. Although land borne trade between China and Pakistan will always be negligible, Pakistan is an important link in China's plan to secure access to the middle east and the Indian ocean.
Pakistan's grand plans often fail, but they do sometimes succeed.. And Pakistan has always shown a willingness to take on a more powerful adversary; be it a more powerful India, or a superpower like the Soviets or US ( killing thousands of Soviet soldiers via their Mujahideen proxies in the 80s or killing a couple of thousand US soldiers via their Taliban proxies.. ) .. Pakistan has not hesitated from killing soldiers of a more powerful adversary.. What Pakistan has consistently shown since 1947, is that no one can accuse them of lack of agency, and that they are no body's bitch.. although they make tactical compromises so as to advance their long term interests..
why is he equating him to Putin?
