Because it has to keep itself worthy of being a UNSC permanent member. Why do Britain need aircraft carriers, frigates and Submarines??
They should use those Billions of dollars as an aid to their poor citizens.
Worthy UNSC member LOL .... the world has changed since 1945 ....Because it has to keep itself worthy of being a UNSC permanent member.
Yes, and UK continues to have a nuclear arsenal, ICBMs, and a blue-water navy. So does France (another UNSC permanent member).Worthy UNSC member LOL .... the world has changed since 1945 ....
Doubt it and don't see any valid reason why it may start.Gearing up for WW3, are we? What does Britain know that we don't?
The QE class carriers are scheduled to be commissioned in 2016 and 2018, then they will go to sea trials and enter service with the RN in 2020. Flight trials of F35B is scheduled to start from 2018 and then enter service at the same time when the carriers are launched. UK currently operates 3 F35B for testing and training purposes, and a new European HQ and training centre for all the F35 aircraft users in Europe has been planned to build in UK as well.Fine ship that, but its useless without F35's. What plans have britain for it up till then, use it as a heli carrier?
The construction of second carrier was abandoned right.Would'nt it been better had you guys developed a naval Tornado. The QE class carriers are scheduled to be commissioned in 2016 and 2018, then they will go to sea trials and enter service with the RN in 2020. do you not see my earlier post? those are the pictures of some sections of the second carrier "HMS Prince of Wales".The construction of second carrier was abandoned right.Would'nt it been better had you guys developed a naval Tornado.
Any sat pics of the construction of the 2nd carrier, cause if they are building it, then a substantial portion of the ship must have already been built, to meet the deadline.do you not see my earlier post? those are the pictures of some sections of the second carrier "HMS Prince of Wales".
some pieces have already arrived at Royth shipyard and ready to get assembled.
in the uk the carriers are built in different shipyards across the country in order to keep engineers and professionals employed in various locations, then all the pieces are assembled at Rosyth dockyard.Any sat pics of the construction of the 2nd carrier, cause if they are building it, then a substantial portion of the ship must have already been built, to meet the deadline.
