Why do Britain need aircraft carriers, frigates and Submarines??

They should use those Billions of dollars as an aid to their poor citizens.

Because it has to keep itself worthy of being a UNSC permanent member.

The QE class carriers are scheduled to be commissioned in 2016 and 2018, then they will go to sea trials and enter service with the RN in 2020. Flight trials of F35B is scheduled to start from 2018 and then enter service at the same time when the carriers are launched. UK currently operates 3 F35B for testing and training purposes, and a new European HQ and training centre for all the F35 aircraft users in Europe has been planned to build in UK as well.

The construction of second carrier was abandoned right.Would'nt it been better had you guys developed a naval Tornado.

Any sat pics of the construction of the 2nd carrier, cause if they are building it, then a substantial portion of the ship must have already been built, to meet the deadline.

in the uk the carriers are built in different shipyards across the country in order to keep engineers and professionals employed in various locations, then all the pieces are assembled at Rosyth dockyard.
