I am not surprised because I haven't heard of any development regarding MK1A other than choosing AESA radar and Electronic warfare suite and no news of it's integration to the airframe. They haven't even declared whether they will use an existing LSP or a new airframe to integrate those systems.

You just can't compare fabricating some parts to integrating a whole fighter aircraft. There is no other company in India whether it is PSU or private sector other than HAL having the capability to do so.

And what experience does TATA have to integrate such sophisticated fighter platforms?

We can expect the production of MK1-A from 2024 onwards and this way there will be no gap between MK1-A and MK-2 as you were talking about yesterday We really need those110 MMRCA.
