    I thought penetrate means entering but not exiting and perforate means entering and exiting. Googling also shows same although penetrate is also used for perforate apparently.

    You mentioned PESA being used. Which requires gimbal to move it since it can only send the waves in 1 direction. As you said, PESA can be converted to AESA with a few modifications, which I'm assuming are light or are insignificant compared to weight of the radar + gimbal. AESA is now cheap...

    That all is fine but now AESA is being used in missiles, and weight is not an issue since PESA was already used. So, why AESA can't have gimbal in missiles?

    Does the VSHORADS require sustainer for such a short duration (15-20s)? The booster will take you till the end and you just have to control the direction.

    Both look too similar. Question: why are the fins at the back curved? Normal shells don't have any fins, so, could these be guided?

    Someone here mentioned, for engine testing, you need 4 engine aircrafts. That way, even if your engine fails, the aircraft can land without issues.
