India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

""" Well, these are known issues and are being addressed, Rafale' helmet is a generation behind this, until recently Rafale didn't even have a helmet mounted cueing system. The F-35's helmet is the most advanced ever made, again revolutionary tech, issues during tests are normal.

Better off not disucssing EU Parliament, ECB and the Commision, the Troika is playing with people's lives, nothing that happens within EU corridors is 'Legal' any more, laws are violated everyday by unelected, useless, idiots with hardly any know how. Bitches laid to waste the economies of...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Already 2 weeks old news, fix for the radar is being deployed this month, so stop bitching, this is an aircraft still in testing, issues are normal during testing phase.

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Well the F-35 is an ambitious program and true the requirements were far reaching but in the end it will be a good 5th gen multirole fighter, nothing more nothing less. It will offer the US plenty of flexbility by being easily deployable from Landing Assault Ships, Carriers, regular air fields...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Bahamut, Apg-79's air to ground modes are un-matched unless one compares it with the Apg-81 on the F-35. Moreso, the Apg-79 is further being upgraded. Its the A2G modes of the SH which are quite significant which the Mig-35 doesn't have. However, if we can put the EL-2052 AESA on the Mig-35...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Again, let's not begin to compare the scale of the programs, the F-35 has far more needs to meet, also being a 5th gen aircraft, F-35 is anything but standard, most of the tech when the program began was revolutionary and not evolutionary. The F-35 has to be 3 versions, with the F-35B being one...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Rafale tech demonstrator flew in 1986 and the 1st aircraft were inducted into service in 2000 so 14 years. 1st F-35 as we know it flew in 2006 and should be fully inducted by 2020+ roughly the same time. X-35 was merely a competition prototype.

Offcourse but if the choice is between Mig-35 and SH, SH is a better prospect, it has a steady support netwwork, USN will use it into 2040s and thus upgrades are quite easily funded by the USN.

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Mig-35's radar is no where close to the performance of the SH, actually it happens to be one of the best operational AESAs out there and its being upgraded. Super Hornet can hold its own against any threat in Asia be it Flankers or Paki Falcons simply because of the radar, decent high alpha...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

such articles only prove what I said, the aircraft is under testing quite extensively and all major issues will be solved by FOC around 2021, its easy to pull criticism on an aircraft thats still in testing.

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Bahamut I have read this one many years ago, long before an upgrade of the SH was proposed, SH Advanced is quite a different beast, adding CFTs, additional RCS reduction methods, uprated engines with 20% added thrust per engine thus promising higher ranges, better fuel consumption and transonic...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Well, they have time to do that, by the way there are already more F-35s flying than Rafales and soon they'll have accumulated more flying hours than the entire Rafale fleet. Let's not pretend to compare the scale of these 2 programs. No aircraft in history has ever been tested to the levels...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

With IAF constantly nagging about Russian products, I doubt they will aceept the Mig-35. Though for the same value as the Rafale deal around 9 billion, we can easily get around 180 Mig-35s :eek1: looking at how Egypt is negotiating 46 Mig-35s for 2.2 billion. Quite a salivating deal...

Well F-35 makes sense when acquired post 2020 FOC versions, sensors wise there isn't a better aircraft.

If we are willing to squander money away on the Rafale, why not the F-35, its a better bet.

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Egypt is still considering the Mig-35. The deal is not done yet. Super Hornet had the best avionics on offer during MRCA including the most capable AESA. In A2A, the SH deploys the best of Unkil Sam's arsenal everything from Aim-120Ds to SDBs. The Mig-35 comes no where close to the all round...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Let me assure you, Indian Navy isn't dreaming of the Rafale, its actually still dreaming about what it's third carrier will look like, when it wakes up, it will realize the Rafale is just too late in the timelines for it to be usable. India's third carrier won't be ready for another 10 atleast...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Let's not get too cocky, the F-16 Block 52 armed with Aim-120C5 is a formidable threat for the upgraded Mirages. In this case, its a tie and the better pilot with the better tactics lives. Mig-29 UPG has an advantage over the Block 52 both in BVR, WVR and dogfights. Its very naive to...

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

Depends what upgrades you talk about, F-16 Block 60+ aircraft are deadly indeed sporting AESA but vanilla Block 52s will have a lot of problems with Mig-29 UPG, the Mirage is fair game and the better pilot lives.

India to select one or more fighter aircraft to be built by private sector

I doubt that, ACM Naik during the trials did clarify that the US had the best avionics and weapons in the trials. Gripen won't happen since LCA matches. Super Hornet is the only suitable choice unless LM does a twister and offers the F-35 for local assembly in India. Mig-35 is out of the...
