MoD claim of having deterrence against enemies now sound hollow.

modernization and expansion, cold start doctrine and even no compromise with sovereignty etc etc.

leave vietnam come back home... we just dont deserve being international player

Just a suggestion, maybe they could reconfigure the F-INSAS in a BASIC, MULTIPHASE SYSTEM system.
In the first phase they could just add P-RAILS for AKMs & INSAS rifles, along with optics and Night Vision Devices( may be imported) along with Radio Comm Device.

In the next phase they could add Armour, helmet and the Multipurpose bags with helmet mounted night sights.

After that IMHO they could go for the GPS and hand held computers with network centric warfare capabilities.

I guess we need another 1962 to wake the Dhotiwalas out of their deep slumber. But then, that too might not make much difference. What could we do in the wake of Mumbai attacks other than issuing hollow statements???
