+1 . I too feel that it was a deliberate attempt to show IAF as lacking equipment.
If you remember there was another dogfight or aggressive cap by IAF and PAF couple of weeks after 27 Feb on LoC, time when IA was hammering PA with arty. It didn't let to a shootout but it's a clear giveaway pakis aren't confident about their F16s and AMRAAMs.

Pakis lost a lot of men and material in border skirmish and even news of paki requesting ceasefire was in MSM, which was later twisted to IA requesting ceasefire.

But PAF rather sat out of the battle than engage IAF.

nothing, back to LoC skirmishes. its quite clear that nobody in govt has appetite for war. it will just be back to usual. sad thing is, it will take another pulwama for us to respond.

While I won't rule out terrorist attacks balakot did change the calculation . Before paki didn't pay any cost for attacks except Uri strike.

Now for pulwama attack they lost
- 300 terrorist and paki army men dead at camp .
- their prized f16 lost. Amraam nullified by su30 putting Pakistan at terrible disadvantage against su30.
- jf17 were proven useless junk.
- paki airspace closed for months , still closed.
- international reaction was completely anti paki.
- continuous artillery barrage till now. Killing Hundreds of paki army regular.
- financial hardships. Another IMF round.
- they had to increase defense spending.
( From initial declare 1.1 trillion PKR to actual spend of 1.6 trillion PKR. That is from 11 Billion USD budget to actual spend of 15-16 billion.
- Hafiz pig declared global pig. Humiliation for Pakistan.
- FATF is still on Pakistan funding case.

So all in all not all the same. Also the balakot strikes were "preemptive ". Make of that what you will.

Also, there was another preemptive strike on their terrorist camp in Terbala.

What? what after Balakot?

The doctrine was revealed by the government the very next day.

If there will be non-military (pun intended) terror targets they will be hit in preemption depending if the conditions are suitable.

Don't have any other source backing up bababanaras over tarbela. For a moment i considered the possibility of Kinetic hit and kill of F16s by Bhramos but Pakis aren't the type to maintain composure. They get nervous and sweaty pretty easily and we would have seen lot of shivering, quivering salwars.

You are wrong my friend. Fact is just opposite. Paki army is very good in hiding and suppressing.

It is us who get nervous and sweaty.

Pakistan has been winning the psychological war with India until Modi came along.

Pakis threatened, harassed and turned away fellow paki guests in iftihar party hosted by Indian embassy in Islamabad.

Can't understand paki rage? We bombed trees and in return pakis shot down mig 21, su 30 and our army installation.

So why pakis are mad? Something is not adding up?

If you have noticed, paki tweeter fellas are no longer hyper-active. They are getting soundly beaten by our arm-chair tweeter experts.

Certain that our army and air force are carrying out secret ops against both terrorists and regular Paki army. The shock is severe.

Paki suars were never experts at mathematics. So no wonder things are not adding up.on the other hand, Pakistanis are biwng shafted in Ramzan , so there lieas the khujli. Indian High commission should invite every bhooka nanga paki for iftar party, as they are not getting halal ghost to kholoing roza

Why are we not declaring pak a terrorist state and cut off all diplomatic relations ?
Because technically we are at war since 20 years with them.
We should totally cut of all relations and let pakis rot !

The simple answer is Pakistan is fighting a proxy or secret war with India.
Indians assume naively that only India is suffering from this war. The fact is Pakistan is equally affected (or rather more).

Pakistan is spending huge amount on its security to sustain this war. More than money, the jihadi culture has destroyed the economic potential of Pakistan.

So India does not see any benefit in overt war.
