Do you have snow tires on? If yes, then I think you are doing a reasonable speed of 40 kmph.

If you are on all season tires, then you need to slow down, or else you will be in those trees before you know what happened.

Yes I have snow tires, they are necessary here in Finland this time a year. This tires is OK to drive 80 - 100 kmh even icy roads.
