Ultimately it is not only the food which is eaten which keeps us healthy but the BRAIN which is the most important organ which is responsible for everything and we have to do lot of meditation to keep our BRAIN calm and we can live longer.......

But one thing I like to say is that when we eat meat of animals the qualities of an animal for sure gets into our blood stream and we too start acting as animal and get anger and hatred towards other people which is the root cause of evil doings as greed in us for having more and more of everything..........

I don't say that people should not eat meat, but eat in a lesser quantity as "TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS GOOD FOR NOTHING".......

The nature of plants is not to feed on others, forcefully and hence when you eat veggies you wont have that animal like nature, but still eating veggies alone does not make a person calm, instead it is the "HEALTHY MIND" which keeps him calm and quiet and makes him think.......

The first anatomists, the ancient Greeks, thought the brain was an organ whose purpose was to cool the blood. That function probably is the primary one for many people. :)

^^ That is a generalization; and a lot of people can seriously damage themselves if they practice Shirishasana btw.

As we stand upright there is no flow of fresh blood into the head and to BRAIN and this does not make our BRAIN functioning at all.......

We humans do not use our BRAIN too much.........

We use only 2-10 percent of our BRAIN and a scientist also uses only half of the BRAIN'S capacity utmost..........

Doing this asanam, increases the flow of fresh blood into the head and BRAIN and activates the BRAIN cells.........

*Sthiti: Place a fourfold blanket on the ground and sit on the knees.

Interlock the fingers, make a convenient angle (say 60 degrees) with your forearms, forming an equilateral triangle on the ground. Place the centre of the head (Vide note) on the blanket in between the fingers locks. Support the back of the head by the interlocked fingers.
Now raise the knees, keeping the toes on the ground. Bring the thighs near the chest and when it touches the chest, lift the toes off the ground slowly. Bring the trunk perpendicular to the flood, Fold the leg so that the feet touch the buttocks.
Raise the bent knees up, till the thigh come parallel to the ground.
Now straighten the legs, so that the body stands perpendicular to the ground. Maintain the posture for a minute in a very relaxed way; normal breathing.
*Return to Sthiti through 5 to 8.

BENEFITS: Due to improved circulation to the brain the whole nervous system becomes healthy. Memory power gets improved. Endocrine glands such as the pituitary, and the thyroid get revitalized. Helpful in hernia. Seminar weakness can be cured. Improves concentration power remarkably.

No paji, Shirasasana is a very good asana and it must be done only after we do the warm up, which includes the surya namaskara and other asanas.....

Following the asanas with sirasasana and then with shav asana is very good.........

That's BS. fMRI scans proves that the whole of brain is used.

Doing this asanam, increases the flow of fresh blood into the head and BRAIN and activates the BRAIN cells.........
Plausible.

I think a competent Hatha Yoga instructor/teacher should guide. A lot of people can seriously damage their health by doing Hatha Yoga without proper guidance.

Secret of high expectancy of life/longevity depends on the awareness about diseases, readily and high quality of health services available not the type of food.

Fish is the best food.

Cooked meat is better than raw in tropics. Raw is fine in polar, tundra and subarctic.

Food is more healthier in developed nations than developing nations, veg or non veg.

Adulteration/contamination of Vegetarian food is easier than non-veg.

Eggs and meat have become more healthier than they were in last decade and before (developed nations).

Vegetarian food (grains, milk & milk products, vegetables, nuts etc) without pesticides, organic or GM if can be assured/found and eaten is more healthier than non-vegetarian food any given day. B-12 has to be supplemented; nothing else, if someone says you will still lack heaps of nutrients then he is bluffing or a meat fanboy.

Salt and sugar pose grievous threat to life, salt more than sugar after 30s. Fats can be digested with regular activity, same can be said about sugar but not salt.

If you give your kids milk with sugar you are doing wrong.

Try cooking food without salt or sugar, food itself has enough for minimum daily intake. Drink sips of Gatorade (neutralize with equal water above 30s or ORS type drinks if crave for sugar and salt is not going away, wean it off gradually.

Yearly S.electrolytes, cholesterol, PSA (for men), CBC, proctoscopy exam after 35-40.
