HMS Queen Elisabeth II really looks great . Impressive beast. Too bad the plan with F35 C and catapults was dropped. We were hoping for a close cooperation between France and UK , with Rafale M landing and taking off from the British carriers every time the Charles de Gaulle is not available.

UK’s Latest Warship HMS Queen Elizabeth Leaks In Waters

According to The Daily Mail, divers have been sighted around Queen Elizabeth, leading to speculation repairs have already begun. UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said

the fix won’t cost UK taxpayers and will be shouldered by the consortium of defense contractors that built the ship. As the first of a two-ship class, Queen Elizabeth is naturally going to have problems, the leaks are not surprising at all.

HMS QE can carry 36 F-35Bs. UK plans to order 138 F-35Bs, which I think some of these orders will be modified into F-35As in the future.

Nope. I think second ship HMS Prince of Wales too will be commissioned by 2020, so they will need all for both these ships seeing that naval Fighters have availability rate of not more than 60-70% of the available numbers. So for war both carriers will need around 75-80 Fighters which is the figure that will be available anytime.
