No need to trim the strength. Full infantry modernization regarding uniforms, bulletproof jackets, boots, helmets etc can be done within 3 billion dollars. But our top brass only insists on doing piece by piece modernization of infantry. Had we started this effort in 2010, all our troops would have had the same kit as any western soldier by now for only 300 million dollars a year.
