Senior UPA leaders forced Ajmer blast accused to implicate RSS chief?

Zee Media Bureau

New Delhi: In a development which is likely to trigger a political storm in the country, the 2007 Ajmer blast accused Bhavesh Patel has accused senior UPA ministers and Congress leaders of pressuring him to name Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and senior leader Indresh Kumar in connection with the incident.

Reports on Wednesday said that Bhavesh Patel made this claim in a letter written to National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court.

In his letter, Patel also blamed several other UPA ministers, including Minister of State for Home RPN Singh, Coal Minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, for trying to frame Bhagwat.

Patel is said to have made this claim in response to querries by the NIA court to clarify if he was being pressurised.

Interestingly, Patel had earlier claimed that there was no political pressure on him.

NIA sources, however, say that Bhavesh Patel was asked repeatedly by the court if he is being pressured. Patel, according to the NIA sources, had said he was not being pressured.

The NIA court has categorically rubbished the allegations made by Patel.

Congress party has also hit back, saying there is no question of anyone putting pressure on Patel into naming Indresh Kumar and the RSS chief him as the two are not named in the FIR filed by the CBI in the Ajmer blast case.

However, Patel's stunning accusations have evoked sharp reactions from the RSS. Claiming that Patel's letter is strong evidence, RSS leader Ram Madhav said, "We have been saying from the beginning that there is a conspiracy against Hindu organisations, specifically against the RSS and its leaders. We are calling for an unbiased probe."

Bhavesh Patel is one of those accused in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah bomb blast case...

Ajmer blast accused claims Shinde forced him to name RSS chief Bhagwat

The 2007 Ajmer blast accused Bhavesh Patel has sent a letter to National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court saying Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde forced him to implicate Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and senior leader Indresh Kumar in the terror strike. CNN-IBN has accessed the letter written by Patel in which he has also blamed some other senior Congress ministers and leaders for trying to frame Bhagwat.

Even as the NIA rubbished the allegations, sources say that Bhavesh Patel has also reportedly named others such as Digvijaya Singh, Minister of State for Home RPN Singh and Coal Minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal.

NIA sources, however, say that Bhavesh Patel was asked repeatedly by the court if he is being pressured. Patel, according to the NIA sources, had said he was not being pressured.

Shinde forced me to name RSS chief: Ajmer blast accused Bhavesh Patel has also named Digvijaya Singh, Minister of State for Home RPN Singh and Coal Minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal.

Sources have also refuted the charges on the grounds that since Indresh Kumar had not been named in the FIR there is no question of anyone putting pressure on Patel into naming him.

Both Digvijaya Singh and RPN Singh dismissed Patel's allegations. "I do not know Bhavesh Patel. He has accepted that he was a member of RSS and that he played a part in the Ajmer blasts. Need to investigate who asked him to write the letter," said Digvijaya.

"I deny this totally. Allegations are baseless. I was not even MoS (Home) then. It's been 11 months since I took charge," said RPN Singh.

Claiming that Patel's letter is strong evidence, RSS leader Ram Madhav said, "We have been saying from the beginning that there is a conspiracy against Hindu organisations, specifically against the RSS and its leaders. We are calling for an unbiased probe."

Meanwhile, the NIA court in Ajmer framed murder charges on Tuesday against seven persons, including key accused Aseemanand, in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case.

Devendra Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Chandrashekher Leve, Bharat Mohan Rateshwar, Jarshad Bhjai and Mukesh Wasani have also been charged under sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC.

They have also been booked under the Explosives Act for causing an explosion at the Dargah to create terror and under the Unlawful Activities Act for causing communal disharmony and waging war against the State.

The two FIRs were initially registered at Ajmer in 2007 and subsequently the investigation was transferred to NIA in 2011. The court framed charges based on the NIA charge sheet.

Three persons were killed and 20 injured in the blasts in October 2007.

After what happened with CBI regarding Coal-gate, this can not be ruled out. This UPA government can go to any level and they are on a mission to destroy every institution of this country for political gain.

Sep 25, 2013, 10.36AM IST

Re: Senior UPA leaders forced Ajmer blast accused to implicate RSS chi

Congress-I leaders are mischief mongers of top class. They know how to subvert institutions for their party interests. They are bringing in ordinances and openly bypassing laws to please their foreign masters. Forcing an ordinary citizen is just a simplest job for them.

The rants shouted at NDTV studios against RSS make sense because they have to make sure congress-I's hard work wouldn't go in vain, for that time being.

Looks like the chest-thumping messiahs of secularism are themselves involved in terrorism-related concerns.

I always knew it.

As the political Great Indian Game proceeds, we will see more filth coming out from 'Secular' groups. UP riots were just the beginning of what can be expected from Secularist parties.

Achha hai; gand chhatna shuru ho gaya hai.
