CNG woes continue in Punjab regions
KARACHI: Several regions in the Punjab province have been hit by unannounced CNG suspension for more than a week now that is causing severe difficulties to the citizens, Geo News reported Saturday.
Various regions have been deprived of the gas supply either because of weekly closure or to supply gas to the domestic users. Pothohar region along with Islamabad and Rawalpindi is without CNG for the past eight days while Lahore is facing the closure for the ninth consecutive day. Not to forget that the supply was restored in Lahore on Sunday for only 24 hours.
Multan is the worst affected region as there is no gas for the past thirteen days with the exception of only 24 hours CNG supply on Sunday. The CNG filling stations in Bahawalpur region also give a deserted look for the past twelve days.
Faisalabad region including Sargodha, Faisalabad and others are without gas for the ten consecutive days.
Sindh region including Karachi also suffered three days CNG loadshedding where the supply resumed on Friday at 8 am after which long queues of vehicles were witnessed at the filling stations.
