Pakistan's irreconcilable trust deficit with india

Why does india not just scrap the indus water treaty if the us altered it, in pakistan's favour all them years ago.It's not as if india and pak are friends ,in the future india will need all the water it can get so to respect a treaty that was biased from the start is null and void. India needs a forceful leader not mms who may be respected home and abroad ,but lacks courage to stand up for india's core interest's.
