KARACHI, Pakistan, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Retired Pakistani army personnel have established a private intelligence business in Sindh.
The new firm will use sniffer dogs, purchased or hired from Pakistan army to search for stolen valuables and detect explosives.
The private security Army Dog Center company has been launched by retired army personnel in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sajawal and Hub, Balochistan, Pakistan Today reported.
ADC will have headquarters in Hyderabad Cantonment with branch offices in Malir Cantonment, Karachi Saddar, Thatta and Sajawal.
Retired Brig. Gen. Akbar Khan is ADC's managing director, with retired Maj. Irfan Khan Niazi serving as company supervisor.
ADC official Imtiaz said the company had acquired the sniffer canines, which were trained by the Pakistan army.
"At present we have dogs to search stolen valuables and if anyone wants to avail our services for the detection of explosive materials, the company has hired special sniffing dogs from the Pakistan army for $1,000," he said. "If the dogs do not recover any explosive material from the site, then the complainant only has to pay the fee for using the team of dogs."
