University of Shanxi, ranked 64 in China's Universities, opened a new cafe for its Business School students.

Although looks like a fancy restaurant, students say food price is reasonable.

Appreciate the concern, but Indians have enough options for protein diet.
I haven't seen a lot of people eating Chicken feet, we're hugely into legs though :p

chicken feet is for appetizer, it is not a dish, it's hors d'oeuvre, don't trust any Chinese restaurant over seas, they won't prepare it with the dedication this delicacy deserves. in the past time, emperors will order an hors d'oeuvre of "dragon's whisker and phoenix's claw", that is carp's whisker and chicken feet ( only the meaty part in the middle of the palm, it is a costly food
Chicken legs are for regular farmers.

you can try it in Diamsum restaurant though, it is Cantonese style, better than nothing, do drink some saki with it.

but I may waste all my saliva with a vegetarian, who is to complain.....

Although it is a forum about china...it should be a military discussion. This is not masterchef china! Grow up boy.. no need to feature your school canteen here!

it is a departmental cafe not even a school canteen, this shows how China invested in its education, it is related to military because it is related to infrastructure, related to economy related to next generation's competition. I don't think weapons or troops are only issues of military, military in Chinese is written as 军事, 军, suggests your use chariots to form a circle to defense yourself ( like what you see in the western movies), 事, means administration, means governing.

To a Chinese mind, military is anything related to defense.

武: means armed, holding your spear and march.
器: means instrument
武器: means weapon.
what interesting is in 武, the marching part generated from your toe, and toe also means to stop. so it also implies, to stop war ( spear), you have to be armed and march with your own spear.

战争: war
战 means propaganda and spear,
争 means two hands to grab one thing.
war is to use psychological and physical mighty to grab interests.

It's Time to Circle the Wagons"¦

Here is a historical battle for a military history connection.

Wagon Box Fight

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagon_Box_Fight

The Wagon Box Fight was an engagement on August 2, 1867, during Red Cloud's War, between 26 soldiers of the U.S. Army and six civilians and several hundred Lakota Sioux Indians in the vicinity of Fort Phil Kearny, Wyoming. The outnumbered soldiers held off the Indians with newly-issued breech-loading Springfield Model 1866 rifles...The first attack of the Indians on the wagon box corral came on horseback from the southwest, but they encountered heavy fire from the soldiers using the new breech-loaders. The Indians withdrew, regrouped, and launched several additional attacks on foot. Indian snipers killed Powell's second-in-command, Lt. Jenness, and two soldiers. The battle continued from about 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 pm. The whites had plenty of ammunition and Indian arrows could not penetrate the thick sides of the wagon boxes.[9]

Fort Kearny learned of the fight from its observation station on Pilot Hill and about 11:30 a.m. 103 soldiers under the command of Major Benjamin Smith sallied out of the fort to relieve the soldiers in the wagon boxes. Smith took with him 10 wagons driven by armed civilians and a mountain howitzer. He proceeded carefully and when he neared the wagon box corral fired his cannon at the distant Indians. The Indians quickly dispersed and Smith advanced without opposition to the corral, collected the soldiers there, and returned quickly to Fort Kearny. Additional civilian survivors, who had hidden in the woods during the battle, made it back to the fort that night.[10]

The Round Earth and Christopher Columbus

When Christopher Columbus proposed to reach India by sailing west from Spain, he too knew that the Earth was round. India was the source of precious spices and other rare goods, but reaching it by sailing east was difficult, because Africa blocked the way. On a round globe, however, it should also be possible to reach India by sailing west, and this Columbus proposed to do
When he reached America, he thought that he had reached India and called native Americans as Indians and it stuck.

Indians are now a days left with nothing but jealousy, which isn't good for general health.

If Chinese members here really want to show off, Indians would be bombarded with tons of photos and videos day in and day out, until such time that the members in questions are either denied access to the forum or the trolls come out in force with delusional and ridiculous remarks and accusations, all to make themselves believe that India still matters.

What if Chinese members decided to comport themselves in a reasonable manner and Indian members were not so sensitive about Chinese posts?:grouphug:
