in SL's case, it's the "democratic protests" that prevented normalcy from returning and made things even worse.

I think we can now safely say Rajapaksa and his family are toast. They have no future in Sri Lankan politics from now on. The question now is why are they not approaching IMF? They have declared bankruptcy. Isn't it time for them to go knocking on other countries doors or institutions?

Talks with IMF and WB have already happened, they seem to have put political stability as pre-condition.
