Go ask Selig Harrison, a noted American South Asian expert who knows South Asia as well as the back of his hand. He has confirmed that several thousand armed personnel of the PLA are stationed in the Khunjerab Pass on the border of Gilgit-Baltistan to protect the Karakoram Highway construction crews as well as the CPEC.

The work is being carried out by adjuncts of the People's Liberation Army under the direct supervision of the Xinjiang Military District: the Production and Construction Corps, the Engineering Corps and the Communication Corps, all under the command of PLA officers.

Now go get some education and awareness of WTF is happening in your own country which your Chinese masters are gradually taking over.

Parts of GB have been leased. Gwadar has been leased for 40 years (extendable) for establishing a Chinese naval base there. I heard a discussion on Pakistan TV. They were discussing that India struck an agreement of power purchase of solar power at Rs 2.97 INR. This translates into some 5.13 PKR. However pakistan has made an agreement of power purchase similar solar energy at 14 PKR from quide Azam solar plant. China is a new east India company and they have goat a new slave called Pakistan to which it can milk the way it want. What China need to do is to give a dosage of anti India rhetoric and bribe corrupt Pakistani Army generals. Pkistanis held Zaheel in high spirit who grabbed 90 acre of posh land of Pakistan. Kiyani and Musharraf has over 100 mn usd in their bank accounts. Pakistani Army is ready to sell anything for money.

Once the old used and dilapidated coal fired plants - 11 of them - being transferred from China as part of the CPEC get going with costly imported low grade coal from china, the cost to the consumer would jump to Rs 18-20 PKR per unit. For Pak industry the cost with various tariffs would be in the range of Rs 28-30 PKR. Can the ordinary Paki and industry afford this? Their industries will collapse and sink without a trace!!

The Porkis are being taken for a jolly good ride by their Chinese masters!

What does this prove?

Are we comparing di€k$ now based calorific value of coal, is it?

These value comes into picture for comparison when both plants on comparison are running full capacity. And it is quite rare that power plants run at full capacity.

Even if there is deficit of calorific value, this factor nullified by the design of the plant.

As far as India is concerned, majority of new thermal power plants are super thermal plants with higher rate of efficiency than the older ones we had.

Last month alone two different super thermal plants with 500 and 650 MW have been inaugurated in their first phases.
