Wow can't believe these jungle roaming scums are still bleeding us even after 70 yrs. We don't have any strategy to counter them yet.

Para sf have already got hell lot of responsibility in j$k, loc and North East.
Sff is mostly trained for mountain operation.
Ghatak is busy serving near loc.
Garuds are mostly for airforce base security
Marcos are mostly used for mumbai and ship protection.
Nsg is for urban combat.
All above option can't be used.
Only left special force is cobra which are trained for such operation but are lightly armed
There is huge difference between naxal hunting and tango hunting.

Tango hunting which is under the military is shoot to kill in the jungles, same tactic cannot and will not be used for naxal hunting.

When a naxal attack of this scale happens, they bring human shields along with them who are usually villagers. police personnel involved in naxal ops don’t just shoot anything that moves.

Both naxal ops and tango ops have their own dynamics and complexities.

It is a given that these groups get expertise on tactics from China via third parties. These Naxals have long back established contact with NE insurgents.
Maximum losses ied se hote hai.
Yeh log pure village ko intelligence gathering ke liye use karte hai.
Sniper are deployed on trees by them to take out officers in 1 st phase of operation.
They wait for time when our forces deplete our ammunition and then they attack furiously
They also Deploy ied in reinforcement areas and which causes several losses

COBRA? Lol. Photo-op ke liye hathiyar hai unke, TV pe jab reporter dikhate hai unhe toh pata chalta hai ki unke paas na helmet hai, na koi dhang ki rifle na hi koi telescopic optic bus kuchh pictures photo-op ke liye laga di.
They are lightly armed sue to missions allotted to them.
Cobra are fearsome warriors
They can survive in jungles for more time than para sf.
If in jungles a friendly exercise ever done between para sf and cobra.
Cobra would be victorious due to amount of training and knowledge them have

-Movement started in 1967, gained traction in 80’s and 90’s.

-Individual state Govt counter strategy started in late 90’s.

-Consolidated central govt counter strategy started under Chidambaram, difference was that state govt’s started coordinating with each other.

It seems a rumor was floated that there was a Naxal meeting & some big behnfuckking leaders will be attending. This was actually a trap.

I would blame the mid-level/top level security officials who develop tactics for such procedures.

PS some weapons have been looted as well.

What are you saying? I have only seen them look like tacticool in exhibitions and photos, in reality they don’t even have basic equipments. On Republic day CRPF QAT showed off tacticool gear while in Kashmir they don’t use it or atleast in so many years I have never seen such.

Whistleblower are mostly responsible for such losses mostly
Agreed. Even then we should be having some protocols to follow. In this modern age, if a mob of 100 plus (lets say) people are approaching you from all or any side, this can be detected by small UAVs. Also if the maochods have already put troops in place on a way that they know the CRPP/police would come, i am ssuming we still have some protocols/ways to detect these?

Protocol is their.
In jungles movement is restricted
If their movement is detected prior.
Maoist are experts in dividing into team and hiding in new position faster than our security forces

Your average IPS has no knowledge of these guerrilla tactics.

Until you use air assault tactics with helicopter raids, these haphazard operations will bear mixed results.
