I shall write about the whole movie rather than keep suspense about anything because the movie is not attracting audiences and the theater was empty . But the movie is important and needs to be watched .

The movie begins with a couple who have lost their son by defection to the side of the maoists ruling Bastar district hoisting the Indian flag and being punished by the maoists for this . The husband is given punishment that Gabbar Singh in Sholay would have been proud of . Both his hands are cut off but he is not allowed to live to take revenge like thakur because he is killed after that . The woman and her daughter are allowed to go because the maoists like to keep their image as desi robinhoods who fight against exploiters for rights of common people .

As the violence in the forested region of India spirals out of control IPS Neerja Madhavan ( Adah Sharma ) is sent to control it and her helicopter is promptly greeted by a bullet fired at it . Her attempts to control the situation are initially utter failures because politicians shamelessly want to keep the areas designated as disturbed areas to earn political benefits . No reinforcements are sent when she asks for them to protect a CRPF camp and it is brutally assaulted by maoists who massacre 76 CRPF jawans and set fire to their camp burning them alive .

In court a lawyer tries to argue that certain so called intellectuals are agent provocateurs of the violence as every visit of these intellectuals to these areas for purposes of research is followed by attacks by maoists . Clearly they are providing aid to the maoists , but all his efforts to get the court to act against maoists are in vain . The court squashes all charges against them . The ecosystem that protects them has spread itself to the judiciary . And why not . Huge amounts of money are being spread around to foment more violence and prevent action against those aiding them .

The liberals wear posh clothes and party in fancy restaurants planning their anti national activities . They cosy up to pakistani jehadis and communists from europe . They speak slick English from their oily voices to convince the judge of their arguments while the nationalist lawyer and the nationalist politician speaking against them can manage only hindi because the nationalists in these remote areas come from rural regions . Every terror attack by the maoists is celebrated at rock shows in universities like JNU by dancing in macabre fashion .

But the leader of the maoists is increasingly afraid of Neerja who is hell bent on taking revenge for the massacre of CRPF jawans and wants to flee the forests . She does get her pie of revenge by killing him towards the end along with other ring leaders of the violence , and is rewarded by charges of crossing the line and enquires into her actions . The ecosystem is bent upon stopping her . But the enquiry does not find anything . She utilizes this opportunity to swear to root out the leftists and the liberals tearing at the vitals of the nation , but obviously this fight is still on and the movie finishes with the fight still unfinished .

The story that finishes well in this tale is that of the woman whose husband is killed . She enlists as special police officer at Neerja's insistence and meets her son fighting for the maoists in the midst of the mayhem . Manages to convince him to switch sides . That single moment is not enough for the audience as the rest of the situation is as grim as ever . The maoists are still continuing their gruesome activities which include throwing small children in burning fires and killing the political leader trying to protect common people in a macabre orgy of violence stabbing him till he dies in a pool of blood .

The movie has a drab colour throughout due to the grim proceedings that make bright colours undesirable for such a film . Music is decent and photography is not bad . The movie is not being watched by the audience due to lack of awareness about these areas and the remoteness of the jungle areas in which it is occurring . Somehow it is not glamorous to see violence here unlike a beautiful place like Kashmir having better connectivity . Also the barbarity of the violence is starkly shown which is realistic but off putting . You soon lose count of the dead as more and more people are killed . One good thing is that the left liberals are clearly deemed as enemies of the nation in no holds barred fashion . Next time you read their opinions in international media you know they are a bunch of liars in cahoots with mass murderers . Remember the message of the movie about 100 years of communism and 100 million dead .

The above message should be enough for any right thinking Indian to watch the movie inspite of it's gruesomeness and drabness .

Verdict--- Good .

Three and a half stars out of five .
