India may 114 Rafale fighter.
Before the 2024 election? Hahahahahahahahaha…etcIndia may 114 Rafale fighter.
They cannot offer a competitive price vs the Rafale. The 15EX is already more expensive than the Rafale to begin with. The extra cost of ISE, fixed costs and a unique weapons package (for india) is in the billions of USD‘Even if they offer competitive price and technology but that problem of long due process even to procure additional improvements, spare parts and everything else in US administration is very cumbersome. A minor official in the State Department or NSA can raise objections which will take months to clear. Hence unless, it is absolutely essential to buy this American bird, we better get similar from elsewhere with cumbersome procedures.
Absolutely, after all, IAF has Mig 21, Cheetah & Chetak helicopters. Let's wait until ADA finishes its science projects. Before the 2024 election? Hahahahahahahahaha…etc
no, just no.
what’s even the point of this thread? None of this stuff is ever going to happen
HAL LUH is finished even the LCA MK1A is an option, who is stopping the jokers inside IAF/IA in ordering them in serious numbers?Absolutely, after all, IAF has Mig 21, Cheetah & Chetak helicopters. Let's wait until ADA finishes its science projects.
LCA , in every models, is not to compare to Rafale family.HAL LUH is finished even the LCA MK1A is an option, who is stopping the jokers inside IAF/IA in ordering them in serious numbers?
6+6 LUH whilst 100s of Chetak/Cheetah fly around
what does ADA’s ‘science projects’ have to do with the IAF’s inability to issue the RFP for MRFA this late in the day?
Or get some unofficial agreement that reduces the gap of first delivery date from 36 months to 30 or 24 months. Before the 2024 election? Hahahahahahahahaha…etc

Our western borders don't need deep strike MRCA, LCA is capable of ripping apart that tiny strip of pedoLand.LCA , in every models, is not to compare to Rafale family.
A point defense fighter versus a deep strike fighter. More or less like to compare Mig 21 and Su30.
I only brought up LCA as an antidote to having Mig-21s still in serviceLCA , in every models, is not to compare to Rafale family.

I agree : no need of Rafale for point defense mission, but the contrary is not true. Our western borders don't need deep strike MRCA, LCA is capable of ripping apart that tiny strip of pedoLand.
Porkies have 150 JF17, might build around 200+. We need at least 200+ jets to get numerical superiority and those jets should also be economical in terms of maintenance and with high availability rate.
LCA FITS THE BILL PERFECTLY.
Can't sign the deal before election, Modiji might be arriving there to convey that keep a slot for us so that we don't have to wait for 36 months for first delivery.I agree : no need of Rafale for point defense mission, but the contrary is not true.
You need more than 36 deep strike fighters, and Tejas even in mk2 is not made for.
If even mk2 is not sufficient then how Pakistan has managed to place f16 at the center of it's offensive doctrine,j10 is going to fit the bill for them in future.mk2 is going to be a reality by 2030 and it will stand shoulder to shoulder with j10.I agree : no need of Rafale for point defense mission, but the contrary is not true.

The U.K. itself is phasing out the EFTView attachment 218229
Since Italy facing sanctions. Germany having issues with human rights, only UK is left to offer eft to India
Why is there such a disconnect between what the military & air force wants & what DRDO designs? The Navy has no such problems. The reason is the ships for the Navy are designed by the Directorate of Naval Design. Why doesn't the MoD create a Directorate of Armaments & Directorate of Airforce design & put the respective DRDO departments under Army & Airforce? That way both these groups will consume whatever they designed.HAL LUH is finished even the LCA MK1A is an option, who is stopping the jokers inside IAF/IA in ordering them in serious numbers?
