as our ex-President Kalam sir said we need a N-sub and a Aircraft Carrier be deployed at A&N command too,
so when will this dream come true?
so the 3rd N-sub or AC will not be seeing its deployment untill or nearly by 2015 [Aprox]
we need to buy N-subs from Foreign Countries may be even Russia atleast.
Dude, why do we need aircraft carrier in A&N, when it itself is a big aircraft carrier.

Basing of the Sukhois there was inevitable with the Indian eye on the Mallaccas. The Chinese can string as many pearls they want, but they will slwsys remain susceptible to air attacks from Indian fighters if it comes to that.

air craft carriers act as floating air strips for air defence of the career group while the frigate/destroyers and missile boats to the attack.when you have permanent land strip so close to the malacca st why do you need an aircraft carrier??

We need AC and Mki there... we have nearly 500 islands in A&N ... it is absolutely impossible for coast guard to patrol all the islands.. any aggressor country can capture the one or more island and we may not know it also.. these islands are so vasty spread that it becomes very vulnurable...

Well I suggest A&N islands must be converted into a joint command theater base like the Hawaiian islands of US. It should be supplied and supported by the sea.....and people are still forgetting the Lakshwadweep which is also very important.

No Chinese incursion in eastern India: IAF

Shillong, Sept 11 (PTI) There has been no incursion along the India-China border in the North East, a senior Indian Air Force official has said.

"There has been no incursion in the eastern sector so far. There is nothing new that creates anxiety for us," Eastern air command chief Air Marshal S K Bhan told PTI here.

Asked about the reports of 'transgression' by Chinese along the borders, Bhan said, "Such things keep happening.

Sometimes they cross over, sometimes our people cross over.

"That does not mean it is deliberate. The Indo-China border is not well defined," he said.

Asked whether the IAF was conducting surveillance in the wake of reports of fresh incursions in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhan said, "Normal surveillance is being carried out every day.

It would be wrong to jump to conclusion's but here we go again?
The iaf is having so many problems with crashes they must get some outside help to resolve the situation. They have had ample opputunity to do so many time's and failed.

Poor maintenace/spare parts may be at fault with some of the crashes but the iaf have genuine problem's they need help with, and i dont believe they can sort it out themselfs.

Vast amount's of taxpayer money will be spent buying some of the best planes out there, the iaf are terrible for plane crashes. Not only human but also financial cost that the nation has to bear, head's should roll.
