The question is, why aren’t they increasing their militant size? Why are they sticking to the same attack on convoy and keeping gunfights to a minimum level of participants? Because if they increase the size they will be much easier to be hunted down.

Small, coordinated groups are deadlier than larger groups.

But regardless, it’s all a ploy by the ISI to keep the IA engaged in COIN in order to hinder its modernization. These small actions are insignificant in the grand strategic scale of the conflict but only hinder the IAs modernization efforts to be a more conventional force.

i think pakistan is getting good returns here . obviously they wont get back kashmir but with just 4 - 5 terrorists they can keep 1000s of troops busy . 3 brigades brought in for last ambush+beheading.

A handful of OGWs can supply this info, you don't need anything sophisticated. Even 1-2 men from terrorist group can wait and supply info about convoy movement.

You don't need extraordinary intelligence to spot a convoy in Kashmir, they are everywhere, all the time.

Locals are the key, the timing of the attack after the last encounter where two clowns were killed is surprising.
I guess they keep a list of targets and then whenever they want they attack
The list might be prepared by some associate or ogw
