DRDO must stop producing these 90s junks and concentrate on MBT, APC, railgun etc. This can be produced by pvt cos like SSS, Kalyani etc.

Best way to get is it to allow Private players participate who have JV with reputed rifle producers. I think recently, Drone made by Adani in JV with Israeli company is selected for big Order.

All this is secondary... The main question is weather there is there any chance of this rifle getting inducted in numbers & the 72000 Sig-716 being a stopgap. Of this is too late for this additional 70000 order then there's no chance IA will be using it.

if its long stroke, this rile is doomed. it would be another bad decision by DRDO.

Three things need to happen.
1. AK-203 needs to get scrapped or delayed indefinitely for all eternity till end user gets bored and scraps it.
(Godspeed AFU, keep fighting. Can't believe the future of IA's standard issue rifle depends on continuous war in Europe)
2. The UGRAM must prove robust and reliable in trials and satisfy the end user. (The big one)
3. GoI needs to step in and cap the Sig-716 order.
