Tapas lacks endurance and in fact the program is being deprioritized by DRDO. Basically DRDO says Tapas platform has failed and is now building a new platform from scratch called Avenger.

I fking knew it DRDO already had a single engine twin boom design in works for years they wouldn't dump it and just make heron mk2 with jv and the stats on Archer ng charts were completely different from heron mk2 so I never understood how people came to this conclusion.

Also they can do TOT from drdo itself, private companies will have to pitch their products to foreign countries also for their own survival.
So it's not a bad deal compared to waiting for 20 years of rustom drones

Rustom-1 has literally nothing in common with the Tapas Bh-201.
Also, unlike the Hermes 900 with its on-paper specs the Tapas Bh-201 has actually achieved the stated stats of 28,000ft operating altitude and 18 hrs of enducrance.

Yes that's what u do when project gets no funding and attention from govt
Failure lies with every stakeholder in this case but not inducting a platform where u have invested both time and capital isn't the solution to overcome the failure
