There is difference between India & pakistan economy... Pakistan has $ 150 Billion while India's is $ 2 trillion... economy base is greater for India... a 5% increase is around 75% of pakistan's economy

insurgency will be non existing in pak if we end relations with usa.

india gets 4billion as aid and we 1billions..dont talk useless.

Latest figure is not yet out but few months the care taker govt official said the GDP would probably be 24.4trillions pkr.which is like 248billions dollars

or either 258billions dollars

yes but they are deployed within balochistan and KPK,only on our western border

248 bilion or 258 bilion both figures are immaterial and I hate comparing our economy with Pakistan where the only criterion meriting comparison is the geographical proximity and political compulsion of sharing a common boundary.

And economic growth is only one of the many factors in play which governs funding for respective armed forces and we know that these factors are diverse for both countries.

The spending pattern are different in between both armies.

Even knowing that most of casualties against taliban are due to IED's the funds allocated for procuring MRAP's are low.Pakistan army and paramilitary do continue to patrol the insurgency hit areas in soft skinned Toyota 4*4.

Even when there was a chance of USA offloading few hundred of MRAPs for Pakistani army, your govt. is antagonizing them and any adverse action will close that possibility.

about GDP.one must compare the per capita income as well.india's GDP is only because of massive labour force and ofcourse which in return is due to population.per capita difference between pak and india is still under 100-200 dollars.while in the past we had a higher per capita than india from 1947 to 2008.
