You miss the point. An ADIZ that requires self identification of all aircraft is all very well, but some aircraft may not identify themselves. That means that there will be a cat and mouse game being played where aircraft will deliberately intrude just to ping Chinese defences. The PLAAF will have to intercept and interrogate these aircraft every time that happens to demonstrate that it is capable and willing to do that. What is the point of announcing a huge ADIZ area if all the Chinese want to do is make someone else do the job of identifying themselves and announcing themselves. What is China going to do about it for those who do not announce and identify themselves? If the aircraft still does not comply the PLAAF must be able to detect it, warn it and if necessary, be wiling to shoot it down.First, ADIZ is not air sovereignty space, you can't shoot anyone down in this area. The aim of setting up ADIZ is to provide a buff zone for your air defence system.
Secondly, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and of course American set up their ADIZ for over 44 years in the same area, they didn't shoot anyone down even though hundreds of Chinese and Russian fighters come in every year!
Well, this must be t_co interlocutingRecent multiple spams, this poster wodoo1, and recent other attacks on DFI demonstrates that what is discussed on this forum, especially in regards to China, is painful to Chinese, who cannot refute the truth about PRC and CCP. For all their posturing, and lectures on proper debate from t_co, Chinese are reduced to the actions of little spoiled children.

>>If the PLAAF does not do that it could mean that
1. It is incapable <-- Wrong
2. Unwilling, or <-- Yes, Chinese don't want to challenge US position. But China will force Japan do it. China will escort Japanese flights first
3. Deliberately flouting its own rules <-- It is impossible. China may want Japan and US flout Chinese rules, then US and Japan cannot blame Chinese flight and carrier invading their ADIZs.
China Threatens Japan Ahead of Biden Trip | Washington Free BeaconChina's military ratcheted up tensions on Tuesday over its disputed East China Sea air defense zone by threatening military action against Japan and saying it would enforce new aircraft controls.
Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yangsheng accused Japan in a statement of "making trouble" and he warned Chinese military aircraft would enforce the newly imposed air defense identification zone, or ADIZ.
"Japan's actions have seriously harmed China's legitimate rights and security interests, and undermined the peace and stability in East Asia," Geng said through the official Xinhua news agency. "China has to take necessary reactions."
Geng listed a series of actions by Japan he said had increased tensions, including Tokyo's frequent dispatch of ships and aircraft to areas near the disputed Senkaku islands, threats to shoot down Chinese drones, and overall escalation of regional tensions.
Without mentioning the United States, Geng also said other countries must "correct wrong remarks and wrongdoings," he said.
100-200 km is well within the range of even half assed antiship missiles to take out the carrier. A carrier should be able to maintain a 500 km sterile zone. Besides wtf is the use of an aircraft carrier if it stays so close to the mainland? When China has multiple carries, he will define dynamic ADIZs based on locations of carries. A circle of 100KM-200KM for each carrier.
Hey Woodoo1.........your Chinese accent is too apparent even in the way you write dude.It isn't in a war. It is better than nothing for the safety of carrier.
I don't think Chinese expected to get the following result so quick. But I still believe that Chinese won't threaten our US fleets even we break their rules. Chinese is tarrgeting Japan only. Washington should use it to bargain with Chinese. Nothing should be easy to get. I don't know I and Obama who is more stupid.

Hey, do you know the difference between both the carriers marked in red ???It isn't in a war. It is better than nothing for the safety of carrier.

I asked the area of the ADIZ claimed by the communist Chinese. I suppose you will now hide behind your usual burqa and ask me to "do research" or "consult Google" as a way of covering up your own inability to answer a straight question.
The first link is non relevant - I see dozens of unrelated news items. You mean the action like this?
PressDisplay.com
and this?
PressTV - China chases US, Japanese planes in air zone
The link also says Chinese planes "chased them" not "chased them away". How about a photo like the one below as proof? In defiance of Beijing's move, Japan and South Korea also flew military aircraft through the zone on Thursday while Washington sent two unarmed bombers into the airspace earlier this week. None of those aircraft informed Beijing.
For your own knowledge again, it is Air Defence Identification Zone not Chinese air space, everyone has the right to fly within it as much as Chinese fighter flying in Japanese air defence identification zone for past several years. The best that Chinese or Japanese can do is to send a military plane following the plane who refuse to identify itself and get ready to shoot it down at the moment it enters Chinese/Japanese air space. The first link is non relevant - I see dozens of unrelated news items.
The second link indicates exactly what I said;
