PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

Makes no sense at all, the LCA is not going to be employed in such a fashion, it is a rear guard for the IAF that allows the "heavies" (MKI, Rafale, Jags/AMCA, FGFA) to take the fight to the enemy in their airspace. The LCA will never form the backbone of the IAF, it simply isn't meant to.

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

250 (with another 40-50 for the IN) by 2030. The IAF doesn't need more than this. The LCA is not an offensive platform.

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

The LCA will replace the MiG-21s fully and some MiG-27 SQNs. Some DARIN II Jags will be replaced by the Rafale whilst some will be upgraded to the DARIN III standard and re-engined (F125 engine) and serve until 2030-2 eventually being replaced by the AMCA.

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

Don't worry about it. 1) FAR more than 36 Rafales are coming (>150) 2) the FGFA will be perhaps the finest 5th gen fighter in service in outright performance when it enters service in 2026 3) the PLAAF is a paper power. Most of their jets are plagued by maintainence issues and they adopt a...

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

For future reference my friend The biggest give away is that she wasn't wearing a hijab mate, in the glorious Islamic state of Pakistan that is mandatory for their armed forces.

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

Who the eff uses a single engined short range fighter for maritime strike? What a joke. The Pakis really are just playing and pandering to their domestic audience pretending they have these super duper capabilities. In reality they are going about it in such an abysmally immature and...

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

The Pakis really are in a tricky position, a choice between a glitchy Russian RD-93 engine and an unproven Chinese WS-13 that comes from a nation who is at least 2 decades behind in the leading engine tech. This is where Indian pragmatism excels, seeing the Kaveri was not coming along as it...

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

The MiG-29Ks actually use the improved RD-33 and the Thunder the RD-93 (relatively old tech). But yes, Russian engines are VERY temperamental and a huge flight safety risk. I don't know what the PAF is thinking using a SINGLE engined fighter with a dodgy Russian engine in the maritime domain...

PAF JF17 thunder crash in Arabian sea

The IAF logs some of the highest flight hours per pilot (250-300h) of any AF in the world and yet their crash rate is on par with any modern AF one could reference; around 1 loss per 10,000 flight hours (from 2013 data, there have actually been less losses since 2013 but no updated figures as...
