Yeah, I agree ever increasing demands of IAF poses a threat for timely completion. Still the same demands have made Tejas a potent jet, otherwise we all know how good Mk1 is.

With AESA radar and DARE suite Mk1a is a potent fighter jet, which has surpassed the expectations in replacing Mig21s. Let's hope Uttam radar completes tests on time, other than it there won't be any difficulties in MWF.

Yeah, Tejas isn't designed with the area ruling in the mind, I don't know why designers selected this design for an aircraft which was meant to primarily replace Mig21s. Still 900kmph without afterburner is good, and I hope if they can achieve anything around Mach 1 with refinements.

Actually Gripen can supercruise @1.1 Mach with the same engine as in MWF with some aerodynamic refinements. It is said about Tejas that some refinements can be done to reduce drag, and if it is true then there is a possibility to get it supercruise capability.

Increased fuel efficiency, reduced heat signatures, aircraft stability etc. I guess it's a good feature which every multirole aircraft should have, plus this will help us in understanding such features for future aircraft projects.

With new engines and refinements they can make it to supercruise as MK1 is already at 74% speed of mach 1, though increased payload will also be there to limit its speed.

That means Mark 2 can supercruise with some refinements in the aerodynamics and new engine ?

That's impressive considering it's the first indigenous fighter aircraft project of India. Kudos ! And if we didn't have engine problem we might have inducted it earlier.

JF 17 is the second most recommended aircraft in DCS for BVR. So what you said about CCP propaganda is 100% correct. Kaash... LCA Tejas hota in that game.

DCS also has JF-17 and its 3d model is developed perhaps by Chengdu itself. But no LCA Tejas there ☹️☹️☹️. Mirage 2000C is priced 4551₹ and JF-17 is 6069₹ on steam.

With new heavy and twin engine variants being proposed and near integration of modern weapons Tejas has suddenly become one of the most promising AC for IAF and a potent platform for foreign buyers. Things are looking good for Tejas.
