It's very difficult to get testing done in Hyderabad officially ,though some hospitals and labs are doing it unofficially ,so the exact number of positive cases will never be divulged. No Pvt lab or hospital is authorized to do Covid testing ,all samples have to be sent to Government hospitals who are refusing to do more than a certain numbers of tests.
We don't have any explanation for this peculiar behaviour of government.
Symptomatic patients are being admitted in a number of hospitals but getting a bed is becoming very difficult . Government hospitals are overburdened as usual. Healthcare workers are resigning from Pvt hospitals for fear of contacting Covid. Situation is bad. Contact tracing is no more possible. Community spread is a reality.

But there is a silver lining . Most of the pts are becoming Covid free without any residual deficit or deformity . The disease is very mild in maximum ppl. Few of our staff tested positive and all of them became asymptomatic within 4 days after treatment which is only supportive.
All said ,it's highly contagious so don't let your guards down. Mask ,social distancing and hand sanitation are our biggest weapons. Use them as much as possible.
Take care guys.

In fact I would say enjoy your life. Get a lot of summer sun and eat your vegetables (a lot). Don't bother with masks at all, wash hands only if required ie after taking a crap, before meals etc. Covid is not that serious especially if you have been vaccinated with BCG.

With due respect sir BCG vaccination is done widely as people are speaking in india . May be older generation would have got in but not ones born in 80s-90s had BCG vaccination so widely . There is nothing wrong in wearing a mask and asking someone wear it . I had horrible time with few of my colleagues who never used to cover their nose when sneezing or even their mouth when coughing all these years . Thanks to this covid at least they are doing that inside a mask and saving me from trouble . Nothing wrong in washing hands also people used to touch anywhere and still put their fingers inside nose or touching eyes now at least they will wash and do that .

Even BCG do not protect us from TB for whole life . Now it is said that BCG gives protection only against childhood TB. So nothing is in black and white .
Agree with you when you say that at least covid has taught us to wash hands and wear a mask.
