Public health experts have advised people to wear masks to slow the spread of the coronavirus. But if you don't have one handy, watch how to make your own out of an old T-shirt.

Remember the time when China was portraying false narrative about India showcasing doctored/false images of the Ganges and bodies floating around etc. Well Karma is a b!tch ain’t it? How does it feel to get exposed and all dirty secrets popping out? I am thoroughly enjoying this China expose.

People had got enamored by China’s economic might but how can you cover up shit by pushing it under the carpet. Here comes the stench now.

Indian Summer may hold a pleasant surprise; could slow down corona spread

New Delhi, April 12 : The scorching sun in the summers could considerably slow down the transmission of the coronavirus infection in India, according to the country’s two high profile microbiologists who have worked with National Institutes of Health(NIH) and the World’s largest biomedical research agency located in Maryland, USA.

The Indian microbiologists suggest that during summers, the rising mercury can alter the rate of transmission at which the deadly COVID-19 infects people.

Renowned Indian microbiologist, Professor Y Singh, who worked with NIH and also with the US Army Lab on ‘project anthrax’ told IANS that an expected temperature of over 40 degrees by the end of April, can slow down the affect of the coronavirus.

“The rise in temperature can alter the rate of transmission of virus, which transfers through any surface or through aerosol to humans. The duration of survival of the virus on any surface would be less when temperature is high. But let me clarify, if a person carries the virus in his body, the outside temperature would then have no affect on the infected person,” said Professor Y Singh who has been Chief Scientist at CSIR, Institute of Genomics and Integrated Biology.

Eminent virologist, Dr Akhil C Banerji who had an opportunity to work with legendary infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci of the US, says that if temperature is around 39 or 40 degrees, then it helps in deactivating the virus.

“However, if any person is standing too close to a COVID-19 patient, then he can be at risk of inhaling the virus. Temperature plays a role but still in science every conclusion, every study has to be based on data. We actually require more data on this subject,” said Dr Akhil Banerjee, who has been associated with National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi.

Though in depth study of COVID-19 is required to conclude on the effect of the temperature on the virus, research conducted on other types of coronaviruses showed “marked winter seasonality.” In simpler words coronaviruses are more volatile between December and April. Several virologists are hinting that by June this year, the impact of COVID-19 would be less than what it appears at present.”

Yes, some scientists are talking about June theory which obviously relates to rise in temperature. I have spoken to some of our Chinese collaborators and they told us that its (COVID-19) resistance power cannot tolerate high temperature,” Professor Pratyoosh Shukla, former General Secretary of Association of Microbiologists of India(AMI) told IANS.

“Usually all types of viruses including SARS or Flu, have maximum impact from October to March. The reason being that temperature plays an important role in the spread of viruses,” said Prof Pratyoosh Shukla.

A detailed study conducted by the Centre for Infectious Diseases, Edinburgh University, found that three types of coronaviruses obtained from patients of respiratory tract infections showed winter seasonality. The viruses, study revealed, seemed to cause infection between December to April, a pattern observed in spread of Influenza. The microbiologists are of the view that there are early hints that COVID-19 may also vary with the seasons. The outbreak of the new virus suggests that it has preferences over cool and dry regions.

So I was reading online and found that Bat have immunity from many viruses coz while flying it's body temperature goes to 105 f or 40° Celsius+... So temperature rise should help us.

worth watching good video

China is the most racist country on earth. What you see in this video is not an exception. This is the norm all across #China today, and not just for medical supplies (see thread
Can you imagine any other country banning foreigners from stores, restaurants, etc?

Beijing tightens grip over coronavirus research, amid US-China row on virus origin
Hong Kong (CNN)China has imposed restrictions on the publication of academic research on the origins of the novel coronavirus, according to a central government directive and online notices published by two Chinese universities, that have since been removed from the web.

Under the new policy, all academic papers on Covid-19 will be subject to extra vetting before being submitted for publication. Studies on the origin of the virus will receive extra scrutiny and must be approved by central government officials, according to the now-deleted posts.

A medical expert in Hong Kong who collaborated with mainland researchers to publish a clinical analysis of Covid-19 cases in an international medical journal said his work did not undergo such vetting in February.
The increased scrutiny appears to be the latest effort by the Chinese government to control the narrative on the origins of the coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed more than 100,000 lives and sickened 1.7 million people worldwide since it first broke out in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December.

Since late January, Chinese researchers have published a series of Covid-19 studies in influential international medical journals. Some findings about early coronavirus cases -- such as when human-to-human transition first appeared -- have raised questions over the official government account of the outbreak and sparked controversy on Chinese social media

Even McDonald’s is now turning away black customers in Guangzhou

After a massive crackdown of Africans in Guangzhou saw peopleevicted from their apartments and hotel rooms even after they’ve tested negative for Covid-19 or completed 14-day isolation periods, many continue to be caught in a state of limbo, wandering the streets with their personal belongings, sleeping rough at night, and waiting to hear from the consulates of their respective countries.

Africans say they’re getting evicted from their homes and hotels in Guangzhou

Apart from having to experience the humiliation of getting unceremoniously thrown out of accommodation that they paid for, they have also had to suffer the indignity of getting turned away from restaurants, convenience stores and other retail shops.

With nowhere to go and nothing to eat, many have had to rely on other members of the foreign community and kind-hearted locals to stay nourished and warm at night.

One man who thought he might be able to buy himself a meal at McDonald’s had to leave hungry. An employee at the Citic Plaza outlet of the fast-food chain handed him a notice that read:

We’ve been informed that from now on black people are not allowed to enter the restaurant. For the sake of your health consciously notify the local police for medical isolation, please understand the inconvenience caused. police TEL:110

China 'hid work of "Bat Woman" scientist who unlocked coronavirus gene' https://mirror.co.uk/news/world-new

China is accused of hiding the findings of a coronavirus expert - known as "Bat Woman" - after she quickly identified the genetic make-up of the new strain that has infected millions.

Wuhan-based virologist Shi Zhengli is one of the world's top researchers on coronaviruses and has discovered dozens of deadly SARS-like viruses in bat caves.

She studied samples taken from some of the first people to become infected with the new and then-mysterious respiratory illness in China in December and found it was similar to SARS.

It was identified as a novel coronavirus and within three days she completed its gene sequencing, finding that it was 96 per cent identical to a virus found in horseshoe bats in Yunnan.

But she was "muzzled" and her team was ordered not to reveal any information about the new disease, which was already spreading rapidly as China kept the world in the dark.

https://blogs.sciencemag.org/pipeli...latest-hydroxychloroquine-data-as-of-april-11

First off is an abstract from the Marseilles IHU group of Dr. Didier Raoult. It presents 1061 patients treated for at least 3 days with their hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin combination, with followup of at least 9 days. It includes the statement “98% of patients cured so far” and says also “No cardiac toxicity was observed”, and also says that mortality figures were improved in these patients as compared with others receiving standard-of-care without such treatment.

Just type in Gou Rou Dian (Dog meat) in Baidu to see how many restaurants serve Dog meat in China, you would be surprised or still stay in denial. And forgot about the Yulin dog festival in southern China.
This is not the right way to measure, go Chinese Yelp,

http://t.dianping.com/list/beijing?q=狗肉

In all the major cities, you can't find any resutrant selling Dog Meat online.
Mostly rural people and remote area people like to eat Dog, but mainsteam mid class in Chinese don't eat.
