What can India possibly do short of war, to keep the Chinese out?
that is the first point - only military action would change the situation - and that seems most unlikely to happen
point (2) - GB'stan is INdian territory, for sure, but it was our own genius who temporarily leased it to pak in the first place - to give them time to clear the populatiions gradually and peacefully ..... now the lease is up and time to be returned to india , of course but pak is poutingly squatting on it .
point (3) - even with point (2) going against us , the situation is still not lost - in fact not at all - but it will require technology and a backbone which im glad to say the goi
HAS been displaying - and that is to go ahead and take compensatory action to not only suck oil out of the SCS area but also get into naval co-operation with countries in teh entire SCS region - this last option can more than compensate for the loss of GB'stan - but it will require pumping up our production of naval vessels - not an impossible task at all , in fact perhaps already happening
point (4) - we may be turning the tides in our ability to think strategically - if these measures ( in pt 3 ) are taken - thereby boosting our confidence and showing ourselves ( besides any other side-line onlookers ) that things have changed and india now has the capability to take a negative situation and turn it into a positive .
