its not a wonderful idea . its full of violence !! anything that aims to impose its ideas by mass violence is not wonderful .Communism itself is a wonderful idea but not practical.
the real communists you talk about are few , and majority are the fake communists . and the fake communists have hijacked communism to the point where it is they whom we think of when we think of communism .All those who are speaking against communists are basing their ideas on so called oppurtunistic people who dare to call themselves communists.
As said in the first post hate the persons based on their habits not the ideal of communism !
COMMUNISTS ARE NOT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE STUCK AT AN AGE they actually are the ones who keeps the inner values intact and goes forward with a vision.the human self inside never changes human beings have stayed the same biologically over centuries.
The indian so called communist parties is better to be named anything but communists , they are a shame and so too are the so called maoists who try and bring in the commie angle in their posters.
India and communism is a misconception
Modern day communism or real communists prefer to call themselves as reformist , who reforms ones inner-self first then the society around them.
How many heads were lopped off under that slogan?Liberté, égalité, fraternité
duh what a ridiculous logic.I say im a manchester united fan but wear a liverpool shirt during football games.
am i really a manchester united fan ?
according to karthic i am.
Exactly your honor !.That a total wrong way to understand the post .
The ideal is good , just like islam is good but those who follow it only do to a level , they do not and cannot follow it beyond a limit, some follow it in a better way than others , while others just use it for their own good and still others misinterpret it , just like these terrorists and jihadis misinterpret islam it for their own good, and the mullas who are not terrorists yet only follow those which befits them and ignores other points.
Communism is a philosophy and philosophy is a way of life and no one person can say that he follows life's philosophy better then the one next to him
Liberté, égalité, fraternité
What people do in the name of [insert ideology here] is not always the same as the ideology itself. You can blame individual self-proclaimed communists like Stalin and Pol Pot for their actions but you cannot blame the ideology as a whole, especially when the ideology runs contrary to their actions and we have living examples of other communists who were truly ideologically committed.Exactly your honor !.
I dont care what goddamn words Marx and Engels wrote in their parchment.
I only care what the Communists do 'in the name of Communism' and I form my opinion on the basis of that.
Can I be faulted for that ? Hell no.
If you ask me the only good noble is a dead noble. How many heads were lopped off under that slogan?
How appropriate that a thread on communism reaches a point where we gloat about mass murder,If you ask me the only good noble is a dead noble.
Unproductive classes = bane on society. Should be obvious.
I'm glad that the guillotine had 18,000+ chances to prove itself. Did you know that the guillotine was invented specifically to be a more humane means of execution? The most common mode of execution in France before the advent of the guillotine was by hand-axe. But the executioner handling the hand-axe would often perform an incomplete cut (cutting off heads manually is harder than you think), resulting in an extremely agonizing experience for the victim, whose trachea and jugular vein would be half-severed, leaving the brain with just enough oxygen to experience intense pain before the inevitable death. Of course the guillotine solved all of that.
Viva la Revolucion!
Indeed, how appropriate. How appropriate that a thread on communism reaches a point where we gloat about mass murder,
Pol Pot was an interesting case.Don't forget Pol Pot without smoking Pot!
At the same time, it would be interesting to learn as to what was the environment and compulsions that were there which made them do what they did!
You should blame authoritarianism for that. The problem with many of the socialist countries was that the state was too powerful for its own good. There should be a system of checks and balances to restrict the power of the state.^^ To be fair, I think we should not go too far back into history. If we stick to the 20th century, we see that even though other regimes have indulged in mass murder and genocide, the thing about communist regimes is, almost ALL communist regimes have indulged in something of that sort! In terms of pure percentages, communism has been far worse in its treatment of humans than other regime types.
Did you see the Mark Twain 1906 essay on the Moro Rebellion I posted? I am very aware of US military history.Indeed, how appropriate.
But if we try to find an ideological basis for all mass murder, one wonders what "ideology" motivated American soldiers to commit atrocities on hundreds of thousands of Filipinos in the aftermath of the Spanish-American War, or perhaps the wide-scale fire-bombing and use of chemical weapons against Vietnamese civilians. Now, what ideology motivated that? Democracy? Liberty? The pursuit of happiness?
Surely not, I think that mass murder is ingrained in the human conscious. We will use ideology to justify anything that we do, it matters not what the ideology is or what the action is.
Communism still lives in India!Did you see the Mark Twain 1906 essay on the Moro Rebellion I posted? I am very aware of US military history.
