Anyone with little bit of military aviation knows you won't send 5 Kc-135 tankers for just 15 F-15 , Multiply 5*6 or 8 .there is nothing less than 30-40 fighters up in air in this group from okinawa

This ! A KC-135 can fuel more than a full squadron (12+) aircraft. 5 KC-135 means there were at least, at least 30 US aircraft, but even up to 60 aircrafts doing BARCAP to keep the Chinese at bay.
