@hit&run , while I agree that Pakis and Americans bicker like old married couple, things are changing for good now or at least they are in my mind.
- US is winding down in Astan and if history is any indication, US will discard Pak like a used condom. It has been done before several times.
- Arabs are pissed at Pakistan and will gladly tow the American line today unlike the past.
- Pakis found a new daddy in China not realizing that unlike Arabs or US, this new daddy is a very strict and spendthrift one.
- With increasing troubles in China's economy, even with the CPEC completion in next 5-10 years, it'll play a minor role in Pak's economy. What I mean is that if US aid stops today, China will have to fill in for US and that is something China has avoided every single time. Making roads and ports are one thing, offering blank cheque to Paki political establishment is another.
- US used to hold a lot of influence in Pak and that is being eroded away by China. Something US is not particularly happy about. Problem with this scenario is that US also hold a significant influence in India but same cannot be said of China. So the days of Pak begging for mercy in front of US are about to end and the stick India has for shoving up their ass is getting bigger each year.
