I once fasted for almost 2 months, only little quantities of water during day time and dinner after 8 PM.Ok. It's doable I guess. I have once fasted for 3 days.

i have been thinking to get pumpkin seeds for regular consumption since a long time. but their price is a deterrent! this new-age awareness about health & well-being has a big drawback associated to it - companies find this as a profit-tapping mkt., and the same things which were considered useless and ignored some decades back, are now sold for premium prices!
dates - why do the usual dates we get in our stores are so slimy and sticky? some flavouring or preservative added on top? once my Sister got for us a packet of dates from Muscat. they were like proper dates, completely dry and non-sticky, and a delight to eat (no over-sweetness as in our usual dates)!
lol.They are a expensive but you also get something called extract of pumpkin seeds..in capsule form. There is also pumpkin seed oil available...

Dates in India always have some insects or worms crawling out of them.... disgusting!!! The best ones are bought from the middle east.

thanks for the link! i would prefer to eat the seeds (as i like eating nuts), but this should come in handy in case of unavailability.
yes, but am already having capsules of flax seed oil. want some real, non-artificial means of consuming. midway out could be trying both, the seeds as well as the capsules. when pocket phull, buy seeds; when nearly phakkad, buy oil. in both cases, wait for and use discount offers and coupons!lol. 250 grams of seeds cost almost 500 rs on ebay.... 60 capsules is like a 2 month course... So its cheaper and makes sense... Also easier than chewing 10 grams of pumpkin seeds everyday although they taste quite nice... ( that;s the recommended amount)

I started having a mixture of beetroot, carrot and apple juice in the morning (freshly juiced of course). It is thought to mop up free radicals in the cells which could possibly be carcinogenic (at least that what was told to me by a cancer survivor).
folks at my home consume flax seeds as it is, soaked in water as well as in the usual form with coriander seeds after dinner.hahaha... good idea... flax seed is quite inedible in raw form but you can have javsachi chatni if you like it... I bought the seeds now but eventually i will shift to capsules.
i tried green tea a few times, as i had read that it has a good amount of anti-oxidants as well as can aid in post-training recovery (i am involved in some fairly heavy strength-training and maintenance-level practice of martial/combat arts & associated drills & exercises for most of the time), but gave up eventually, as couldn't stand its odour nor taste. it gives me kind of a headache. may be because i don't drink tea (from childhood) is why that happens. don't know. just writing this and visualising it gave me heebie-jeebies!I prefer, Green tea with lemon, honey and half tsp. of turmeric......empty stomach twice in a day.
