“On November 20, the warships of the Caspian Fleet launched 18 cruise missiles at seven targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. All targets were hit successfully,”
Overall, there are 10 warships taking part in the operation, six of which are in the Mediterranean.
Over the past four days, Russian air forces have conducted 522 sorties, deploying more than 100 cruise missiles and 1,400 tons of bombs of various types. the number of aircraft taking part in the operation has been doubled, and now consists of 69 jets conducting 143 sorties on a daily basis.
a strike on a target in Deir ez-Zor utilizing multiple cruise missiles had killed more than 600 militants.

Russia is focused on destroying the terrorists’ economic base, having targeted 15 oil storage and refinery facilities as well as 525 oil trucks.

“We stopped supplies of 60,000 tons of oil per day to the black market and terrorists are losing $1.5 million daily,”Shoigu said.

Russia has also destroyed 23 jihadists training camps, 19 plants producing explosives, 47 ammunition depots, as well as many other targets, according to the minister.
Russians have really intensified the war on the barbarians. Hope this ends sooner and the people of Syria who were driven out of their lands are able to come back and rebuild their homes and their nation.

By the way 100 cruise missile in past week

By the way bombing the oil installations is a very farsighted decision as it would also mean, that there would be lesser oil added into market after the war ends and political scene stabilizes, other than disrupting cash flow of ISIS!!!

Syria War - Russia Rolls Out Its Super Fighter
Russian released film shows super advanced MiG31BM being prepared for flight alongside the TU22M3s at Mozdok Air Base.

Daniel Fielding | Russia Insider

MiG31BM - about to join the fight?

The Russians have released a number of very interesting videos showing their bombers engaged in an early morning strike apparently on 19th November 2015.

The video showing a TU22M3 in action is the most interesting.

It gives an idea of the size of some of the bombs being used.

Right at the beginning of the film there are pictures of the technicians at Mozdok loading the bombs. It is obvious that they are much bigger than the bombs used by the Russian aircraft at the base in Latakia.

There are 12 bombs in total. They are probably 2,000 kg bombs.

Most likely this was a strike on an oil facility. A strike of 12 2,000 kg bombs on such a facility would be utterly devastating.

The most interesting thing however in the whole film comes right at the start.

This shows parked near to the TU22M3 as it is being prepared for the mission, what is unmistakably a MiG31BM.

This is the most powerful interceptor aircraft in the world.

It has a crew of two, has an exceptionally long range, can fly at three times the speed of sound (faster than any other fighter aircraft in the world today) and can also fly supersonically for long distances (“supercruise”).

It also has exceptionally advanced and powerful radar and electronics, and carries extremely powerful missiles that are able to engage enemy aircraft at very long distances.

Its radar has a detection range against airborne targets of - it is believed - 320 kms and can track 24 targets simultaneously, allowing the aircraft to engage 10 targets with its missiles simultaneously.

The MiG31BM’s very long range, and its uniquely capable radar, electronics and weapons, makes it a rather more obvious escort for the bombers than the less capable - though more manoeuvrable - SU27SM.

The fact the Russians are showing the MiG31BM in the film - seemingly being prepared for flight by ground technicians - suggests it is already escorting the Russian bombers on their missions or will shortly be.

If so, in terms of establishing Russia’s air ascendancy of the skies over Syria, it would be as big a game changer as deployment of S300 or S400 missiles on the ground.

Commentary: What Russia needs to do, and what they have correctly identified, is building lots of more Tupolev-160 bombers.
There are no 2000 kg bombs in Soviet/Russian AF. There are 100, 250, 500, 1500, 3000 and 9000.
Tu-22M3M used 2 x 1500 or 2 x 3000, or 12-18 x 250 or 12-18 x 500.

As you can see on the photos, there is an empty Kh-101 shell on them. This means that the missile has hit its target and those photos are not from Iran but from Syria.

I hope this gives the Russians an opportunity to identify flaws in their system and rectify them. I wouldn't be too worried. This is an opportunity to test their missiles systems.
Some cruise missiles will crash....so far they've only been 2 incidents that we know of, which is pretty good.

If I remember correctly, there were plenty of Tomahawk missiles that didn't make it to their targets in both GW1 and GW2.

Syrian government territorial gains just 0.4% since Russian military intervention

http://www.janes.com/article/56134/...-just-0-4-since-russian-military-intervention
Janes has given you a fake with the same maps for day 1 and nowadays and you believe them, but Russian MOD has different maps and you don't believe them... Aren't you a silly one? :) And make note that SAA controls South-Western Syria and advances mostly there because those areas are wide populated - 90% of Syrians live there.
