Orly???
@jouni, you are fool.
The first and only Enigma cracker was Alan Turing.
You are as fool as poles.
And what Poles in Syria???
And why Syria, when all the latest packages are acting in big military trials and drills near your and polish borders more than 4 years long???
As i've said earlier, Russians like to solve their problems in pretty radical way. There is no punch against the crowbar if you don't have another crowbar in your hand. Russian ECM beat the enemy with unlished raw power. It simply overfloodes all the RF channels at all.
There are some special EW tasks that might be interesting for foreign specs, but they are special due to signal processing algorythms, which are not accessible from outside. You must receive the hardware to get them.

So I don't know what "intell" have finnish guys got. Maybe a Syrian porn with the Polish whores? :)

Poles gave the info that helped Thuring to crack it. Poles were far in solving it before Nazis and Soviets attacked them. Regarding current EW, somehow I have a feeling that Russian systems are not any better than they were before. At some point you get careless and we take advantage. It is the large Russian soul....

Jouni, steal the gear and crack the code is not the same :)
And, btw, Enigma specimen, turing worked on, has came from RN officers, whose crews have captured damaged German submarine.
You are fool again.

@jouni, to know if the system get better, you need to get it at your disposal and study sparely. If somebody has measured Su-24M2 radar signals and maked a conclusion that it hasn't changed that this guy is Captain Obvious :) Su-24M2 has significant changes in the other systems (primarily, navigation and mission computers).
If all of your military guys are so fools as you are then your military health is very poor...

I am not an expert on EW, thats why I speak freely. Those who are, they are quiet and not in this forum.

@Akim, thank you. I am impressed by your interest in archaeology. Speaking of archaeology, please share your thoughts on the ISIS blowing up the Temple at Palmyra.

I amagainst ISIS and I think it's barbaric.
So, I'll agree with you in my turn.
With one clarification: it's satanic, completely deviating true Islam. It's American "devil for dirty jobs".

Dunno if this link already posted, admins please delete if so.

Russia learnt it's lesson from Afghan engagement it seems, not to send in boots on the ground-

Exactly as was tould earlier by officials including Putin.
There are some national traitors scumm in Russia, who misspell themselves with inteligent people, who REALLY want Russia to be destroyed and occupied by NATO and transnational corporations. So new Afganistan would be a great pleasure for them. But, there is no chance :)

Israel and France have a history... Presume you mean back in the 50-60's when France embargoed Israel, after the France had sold them all sorts of hi-tech gear. That was a very, very different time.

Have heard that the Saudi's paid for Egypt's new ships and yes, Egypt has lots of top draw kit. But, they are Arabs and they tend to spend cash on buying some flash kit, they don't need and wont use, for their military. How's the Indian space programme going?

France is going weird could probably explain to you better how the Islamisation of France is changing French politics.

My great- great uncle died in combat to defend France. France is plenty of things. But, as of yet, they haven't gone anti- Israel. Although, the French Jews who've left to move to Israel in record numbers would disagree with you. They were the military that started the "Arab Spring" and went hard into Chad, etc...
I suppose to that you can add Nicolas sarkosy election and his background debate and highlight.

But it is indeed peculiar to see Egypt have such a military. Is that with also Iran in mind. But still it begs one to wonder with Israel right next door. Wish Israel is aware and careful but probably it knows the knowns and unknowns that we talk about. Israel is potentially surrounded by 5-6 Pakistan's ...

Egypt is also not a prisitine political entity and must have its controls and checks iam sure by others. But seeing it being equipped by France with heavy metal items like mistrals and rafaels also makes me wonder if they were used in barter for other opportunities. Did France look away from other regions because of sweet equity. Who will benefit from this.

Obama Clashes With Steve Kroft On Putin, Syria In '60 Minutes' Interview
"[Putin is] challenging your leadership."

President Barack Obama exchanged testy words with "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft on Sunday over Russian President Vladmir Putin and the Syrian conflict.

When asked about the effectiveness of his administration's strategy in the ongoing Syrian civil war, a defensive Obama admitted he was initially skeptical about training and arming moderate rebels against Syrian President Bashar al Assad -- a $580 million program the Pentagon pulled after generating only 60 trained fighters instead of the expected 5,400.

President Barack Obama: Steve, this is why I've been skeptical from the get go about the notion that we were going to effectively create this proxy army inside of Syria. My goal has been to try to test the proposition, can we be able to train and equip a moderate opposition that's willing to fight ISIL? And what we've learned is that as long as Assad remains in power, it is very difficult to get those folks to focus their attention on ISIL.

Steve Kroft: If you were skeptical of the program to find and identify, train and equip moderate Syrians, why did you go through the program?

President Barack Obama: Well, because part of what we have to do here, Steve, is to try different things. Because we also have partners on the ground that are invested and interested in seeing some sort of resolution to this problem. And--

Steve Kroft: And they wanted you to do it.

President Barack Obama: Well, no. That's not what I said. I think it is important for us to make sure that we explore all the various options that are available.

Steve Kroft: I know you don't want to talk about this.

President Barack Obama: No, I'm happy to talk about it.

After a tense back and forth with Kroft about the failed initiative, the interview went into another round about Putin.

"He's challenging your leadership," Kroft said referring to Putin's move to advance Russian troops in Syria.

A cantankerous Obama shot back by questioning the notion of leadership.

Steve Kroft: A year ago when we did this interview, there was some saber-rattling between the United States and Russia on the Ukrainian border. Now it's also going on in Syria. You said a year ago that the United States-- America leads. We're the indispensible nation. Mr. Putin seems to be challenging that leadership.

President Barack Obama: In what way? Let-- let's think about this-- let-- let--

Steve Kroft: Well, he's moved troops into Syria, for one. He's got people on the ground. Two, the Russians are conducting military operations in the Middle East for the first time since World War II--

President Barack Obama: So that's--

Steve Kroft: --bombing the people-- that we are supporting.

President Barack Obama: So that's leading, Steve? Let me ask you this question. When I came into office, Ukraine was governed by a corrupt ruler who was a stooge of Mr. Putin. Syria was Russia's only ally in the region. And today, rather than being able to count on their support and maintain the base they had in Syria, which they've had for a long time, Mr. Putin now is devoting his own troops, his own military, just to barely hold together by a thread his sole ally. And in Ukraine--

Steve Kroft: He's challenging your leadership, Mr. President. He's challenging your leadership--

President Barack Obama: Well Steve, I got to tell you, if you think that running your economy into the ground and having to send troops in in order to prop up your only ally is leadership, then we've got a different definition of leadership. My definition of leadership would be leading on climate change, an international accord that potentially we'll get in Paris. My definition of leadership is mobilizing the entire world community to make sure that Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon. And with respect to the Middle East, we've got a 60-country coalition that isn't suddenly lining up around Russia's strategy. To the contrary, they are arguing that, in fact, that strategy will not work.

The hypocrisy of USA gets rather unbearable day by day! They themselves are famous for supporting worlds most fucked up lears of other nations since time immemorial! I mean how stupid the common Americans have to be to support such a foreign policy for their nations where their exchequer drains billions of dollars to basically create mess globally? First Bush, then Obama - only words and style to delivery of sppech have changed - context remained the same and result is identical - destabilised nations at the cost of ruined lives of hundreds of Thousands of native people and pouring of billions of dollars when USA's internal economy is going down the drains!

And, those the lovers of USA, not only fanboys, but worshippers to the limit of being nauseous- are always blind of the facts!
