It seemed like Pakistanis were bowling with passion like they were fighting jihad. Our men were bowling with "meh chalta hai I'm already rich so IDGAF" attitude. Don't know about talent, we seem to have for the first time an upper edge in terms of quantity and speed over Pakistanis.

Lets give Due credit to paki s they always produced some good pace bowlers that s what they are good at from the days of waqar,wasim,aquib to shoaib and amir ...We tried our best with all the support from MRF pace foundation grooming so many bowlers ...you look all our bowlers when they debut their speeds are always high and it slowly starts going down ..Our bowlers are always told to stick to line and length and not experiment too much with pace and that s why we don t see some great fast bowlers ..Umesh yadav is the only one who in the current team pushes above 140+ speed the rest are all medium fast bowlers ...

Absolutely. Even my gf who rarely watches cricket commented on how seriously the Pakistanis were taking the game versus how nonchalant the Indian team seemed.

Fair play to Pakistanis though. They were better team on the ground today. Indian bowling has been thoroughly exposed.

No dude, every single one of them including Bhuvi, Pandya and Bumrah bowl over the 140K mark nowadays. We used to have Irfan Pathans and Venkatesh Prasads and Zahir Khans who bowled at 120K lol We've come a long way from that.

For sure. It is sad that hockey is not given its due in India, despite it being a superior sport when it comes to athletic ability as well as our national sport.

Zaheer Khan at his best bowled 140 kph plus. I saw him reach 147-148 Kph several times in the same over, maybe that's the reason, he kept getting injured. Got really smart in the late stage of his career and a great asset for Indian bowling attack specially at death. Our pacers can probably use his experience.

I am not surprised brickbats are flying at Kohli. Even Mahendra Singh Dhoni's residence has been given police protection, which is obvious after the loss and that picture Dhoni took with Sarfraz's son.

I think Kohli is a talented and skilled batsman. I like his style and the way he has played so far. I would temper my criticism of him, if any at all.

This is a time for India to improve on its shortcomings. Success is built upon failures.

My inputs, Fumbling Dhoni, weak Yuvraj, Ashwin, Rohit (for his callousness) should be shown door.

Cricket has become a dynamic game. With short boundaries, strong Bat knocks and more fitter players the orthodox cricketing sense doesn't fit the bill anymore.

The person who suggested to bowl first was a moron of top order (I wanted to send a tweet to Kohli et al 3 days back not to bowl first (when I saw the weather's going to be fine), sending main openers to brave the first wave was another mistake given the run to chase was huge.

The first 20 overs after such big total should have been played like 20-20 given we had couple of 20-20 specialists like Kedar & Pandya.


Indians no doubts are playing cricket that is class apart. Pakistanis in next 50 years won't have that kind of typical stroke players. Even when we were 4 down they were scared as hell. Everyone knows India was playing great cricket when they were crawling with their 'Lappeybaaz" players.

The way forward is to invest in aerodynamically built tall players including bowlers even if their techniques are average. Change analysts/think tank who can read the match, spells, innings and overs, before hand.

Time to bring in Ganguly, Ravi Shashtri and Dhoni later on into the role of mentors.
