I never said that , but we should still remember their strength time to time ..rather than going full over board with we equal to China.
Meanwhile , we have 1400 M46 130 mm artillery guns and 2400 105 mm indian field guns too .
130 mm can't provide the effectiveness of 155mm

M109 is in active service. Of America
Which is the back bone .as for maintaining it .
Well lets not discount Americans completely
None of us have been inside the workshops and maintenance yard of Pakistanis to see who is maintains them
Plus China, China will do it if everything else fails , and not to forget this artillery is nothing advanced .
Pakistanis can maintain it themselves for most part .
They have some big ordinance factories after all
I meant the M110 203mm which i believe america has retired and not a lot of countries making 203mm artillery shells

M-46 is ideal for flat/plain areas. There's a good reason why they are being upgraded to 'Sharang' standard.

Do they have enough fuel to keep their self propelled artillery guns moving? Including their MLRS systems. Don't forget that in the first days of war, IAF and IN will be gunning for their weakest spot - their oil/gas reserves. Blow that up and Pakistan Army will quickly run out of steam and resort to trench static warfare only capable of moving soldiers on foot.

Among M109, M110 and SH-15, I would consider SH-15 to be the most formidable among all.

IMHO, M109 and M110 are just cannon fodder for us to be honest.

Their m109 is of the a2 version but there has been claims of them upgrading to a5 standard but nothing solid in that

Even if we consider them to be upgraded to A5 standard, the caliber is 39. So the range is much lower to what we are achieving with Dhanush.
But on combat weight front, they would beat our SPGH hands down in deployment strategy.

MGS and k9 howitzers in sufficient numbers will eventually reverse that hopefully.m109a2 got a range of 20km which was good in the 1970s

A5 range would be 30 km. But at 25ton combat weight, its half the weight of K9, which means transportability and deploy ability of the system would be much more easier then K9.
