Chandigarh, is one of India's better-planned cities and is a rapidly-modernizing commercial hub.

Great cuisine, culture, sporting grounds, a hearty and noble people and a king-fvckin-size appetite for life:

Alrite, takin' you down south again to Mangalore {that's Mangalore, with an M, not Bangalore ; ) ; differenty city}

Mangalore is a nifty lil' town on the outskirts of Karnataka, that is famous for coffee, good weather and agricultural processing.

This is as you enter the city from about 50 km. outside:

Towards Downtown:

There is also a major refinery in the city:

The 'burbies:

The beach:

This is their traditional Kambala Sport: or Buffaloe race:

TV Tower, Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. It's India's tallest man-made structure (1060 feet), Asia's tallest TV tower. Operated by Prasar Bharati.

Aiite, takin' you to central India:

Ranchi is a city in Jharkhand, one of India's more impoverished provinces. It is rich in natural resources, but suffers Maoist violence in the 'Maoist corridor'. Still, it has emerged an important education and commercial hub and has attracted mining investment in recent years.

One of the more iconic institutions of the city

And one of the less iconic

New Governor Secretariate inside Rajbhavan Compound (Governor House)

Now this is a nifty lil' new city called Thrissur that's expanded around an older one (Trichur) in the state of Kerala. Thrissur was essentially nothing a few years ago, today it seems to be growing pretty nicely.

The same view

The City Centre Shopping mall

The Basicila Dolorus

Love the people there too:

In all our posts, we've not covered anything about Rajasthan.

Here's a little about Jaipur, Rajasthan's capital city:

Here's the state Assembly:

Gurgaon has been growing rapidly. Traffic jam in Delhi-Gurgaon highway is really pain in the ass.

It takes nearly 2 hours from gurgaon to my home in delhi
Wider roads and better traffic light management is needed. Thousands of new cars are added onto delhi streets every month.

^ Yeh that bar is at the Intercontinental Hotel some place off Marine Lines. Very pricy though.

There's another more affordable skybar at the Shah Indl estate in Andheri, just west of the station, too.

Pretty nifty jazz bar down the same building called Some Place Else that plays regular jazz and salsa bands live in the evening. Try it, the next time you come to Mumbai.
