I completely agree with your analysis regarding two front war, I feel for our adversaries in neighbor forum who were taunting us for years about slow procurement plans, Average Indian was frustrated so much growth of Indian economy is not bearing any fruit on modernization, due to lengthy procurement process. Additional followup orders have to provided for Rafale.

I'm sure IAF will like this bird as they liked the Mirage 2000 since so many years.

IAF is already in love with this bird.. prospect of rafale winning mmrca2.0 seems very high.. only bone of contention would be engine tech.. which india needs utmost... I hope safran nd french govt agrees to provide engine tech for a prudent long term relationship and sales of rafale in significantly higher nos.

If you guys haven't noticed yet, for tactical reasons, that half-loop cut is very lethal in WVR combat. Further in the video, when it lands, you can see the AoA in action with low speed descent. Rafael descents very gracefully, now imaging it doing at 40K feet's.

It can shift from high energy to low energy much like MKI, but without TVC.

the air is too thin at 40k feets..... Not possible as that.

Rafale can carry 9000KG despite its small size,
while Su30 can only 8000KG ( Diff. between western & russian design philosophy)

Rafale can beat Su30MKI expect some WVR parameter, so definitely Rafale has tech advantage,
But the scenario can change after Super Sukhoi upgrade.

Super Sukhoi will probably not add carry capacity. After all it's mainly an air to air bird, so 8000Kg is far than enough.
But more probably a new radar, some RCS refinements, some new weaponery, new radio, new counter measures, a DIRCM ? ...
