ToT to any PSU is useless :puke:

I am sure there are Indians working in P&W/GE/RR who would want to come back and work in India for enough 💵 💵. I am also sure GTRE has some world class engineers/metallurgists.

If GoI is willing, we can have a NASA/SpaceX type arrangement where government fund a startup with money, technology (GTRE) and infrastructure backed by world class talent.

For any technology devlopment funding is crucial. No one will sell u advanced tech.we need to develop or steal it and reverse engineer it as Chinese do.

Getting "Know-why" is not an easy thing.
How about RR's proposal? Is know why part of that deal? I guess not.. they'll just deliver a core to match our specifications without teaching us how they did it. The only difference then is with the Brits it's one time lump sum payment for engine consultancy, while with the French it is that plus license fee for every copy every made.

If that's the case then both offers are cr@p and we need to pursue our own road to 110kN afterburning thrust. Use GEs engines till we get there.

Gas Generator – Nozzle Guide Vane (GG-NGV) using 3D printing forHTFE-25.

Intech Additive Solutions & Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) are the first in India to develop a 3D Printed Aero-Engine part using Superalloy CM 247LC.

but i am more impressed with the fact that they developed developed 3D-Printing machines iFusion SF-1 & iFusion LF.

iFusion SF1 Metal 3D Printer is based on Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) technology. Over 30,000 man-hours of Innovation and R & D have gone into its development.

Guys don't keep your hopes high about french promising us the complete tech transfer . They may give us only "know-how" ,but not " Know-why". No will give us "Know-why" , no matter how much money we throw at them.

Also note that I'm not completely against this JV. My only concern is about our workshare in hot section of the engine.

We can only expect good from this JV if and only if we utilise our own experience and knowledge that GTRE had gained from the development of Kaveri's hot section.

If we are not using our own experience and knowledge of hot section & have no workshare in its development and if we are completely dependent on french for it ,then all the hardwork and R&D we have done all these years regarding materials ,SCBs,TBCs etc will have no value at all.

So if we are going for this JV, then we must have workshare not only in Cold section ,but also in hot section too, our past experiences and knowledge regarding this must be used at all cost.We must not completely dependent on french for this.
One question to all knowledgeable, what is India's contribution in Shakti engine.

More than 70% is TOT'd- ie made from Indian components. We must be paying Safran a licence fee per copy and balance 30 or so % components coming from France.

That 250 number is from early 2020 and had ballooned to 450 by early 2021.

100% Indian designed and manufactured components:

AERDC designed Oil Pump, Heat Exchanger, Filter housing unit and Pipe lines.

This Shakti engine didn't helped us in anyway in the development of HTSE-1200. HTSE-1200 is purely our own effort
