Ya'll Nibbiars The Standard Gague first trains will run at 250 Km per hour average speed and letters can be even run at 400 plus Km per hours Speed with little upgrades.
It should be built with IR gauge so that it can be connected in the future. Route looks too curved for high speed
Even Kerala silverline is planned to use a diff6 gauge

Depends on what the rolling stock they are planning for this is, but I do agree that route looks too meandering for HSR. @Haldilal welcome back nibba. But what rolling stock are they planning for this route? You said 250 kmph average and even 400 kmph!? Is it all elevated? If not forget HSR, it will be Semi-HSR.

Better slowly introduce AC EMU for entire Mumbai Suburban, People may whine for few days but eventually having an AC in humid climate of Mumbai is a God's gift.

But frequency of the trains should be improved, this only happens when new signaling systems are deployed.

Ya'll Nibbiars elevated with dykes, earthen filling like the Expressways. This will be the standard across all the HSR. The Bridge section is deemed to costly to be Implemented so only a few section on the MAHSR will be Bridged and all will be elevated with the earthen structure and with passage between regular intervals for crossing underneaths.

In some places, earthen structure will not be able to hold up under all that excessive vibration. You do not want loose soil and constant vibration over time will loosen up compacted soil in no time. It may work for regular rail but certainly not for high speed rail which has zero or very little tolerance for errors in rail alignment.

Furthermore, using the bridge method as developed by the Chinese has shown to be more cost effective over time since you only have to install pylons into precut holes and then push the bridge segments over the pylons. Saves more time and material and certainly labor.

Ya'll Nibbiars The method is widely used even in the Mleechas land. The method of earthen elevation is more sound Tham most of here think is is most widely used in the world for the HSRs. And some are still running even after almost 60 years of operations.

Ok what about migration rights? Do you know that IR regularly hit livestock and stray animals on regular rail. Imagine that happening on HSR. You certainly do not want that to happen and that means immense fencing which in turn means restriction on flow of livestock and wild animals which is not feasible in many large parts of India. Hence the bridge method.

Ya'll Nibbiars thats why it's elevated with crossing ate certain Intervals.. And we don't have anything like migration rights here in India. Aap ke Amerika aap ko hei Mubaraks.

Ya'll Nibbiars The Mumbai Pune expressway missing link project. The Worlds widest twin tunnel 23m each, 9 kms long bypassing the Lonavla, Khandala ghats. And More than 7 kms is dug inside one tunnel. The March 24 is the deadline.
