If something like a crisis is to happen and Indian civilians/officials are trapped in a country which is actively targeting them, there is no working authority or bureaucracy in place and an armed rescue is planned .
Whose mandate is it to go in ??

SG or Garuds

GARUDs will try to make reels and make it go viral:D
And what will SG do? Apart from INT gathering, they don't have any other mandate as of now... Gone those days when they used to be called up for HR and protection duties...

They did in Yemen and Sudan but those had a shoreline .
For a landlocked country i don't think it's their job . Last time when we had to do rescue in Afghanistan we sent garuds .
Do they look like in any position to you RN to do an OP of this level to you?

P.S - we really need to invest in some flying eggs maybe based on LUH they need those for HVT ops if need ever arises

SEALs operate with or without shoreline for the record.

hell no

Also we need medium lift helicopters with air refueling capabilities , if IMRH doesn't materialize soon we must go for Blackhawks . Also turboprop refuelers like KC130J .
God this country really needs to spend if it even wants to become a military power let alone superpower.

I'm a proponent of militarily invading a nowhere near peer country cause that's what superpowers ought to do. Here's where our military, defence industry and related fields will see rapid changes.

Exactly my point forgot about Garuds they themselves know they won't even be considered in the first place

HAL will start using Internal funds now for IMRH if they can Find the SPV partner soon the project will move with a good speed and experience of HAL rotatory division their is a SF version planned all depends on how quickly they work on the project and if a SPV shows up

Back in the day it'd be SG. Now it's just garuds along with IAF Crew. Actual rescue would still be limited to negotiations by the govt.
