Wow. Dwivedi whose tenure led to back to back humiliations is now the COAS??? God save India. Seriously.
I didn't even get that after 9 ambushes in the same region multiple times and every time terrorists escaped he was made vcoas
Forget accountability how incompetent he is and his chances of being coas is fairly large don't know how things will turn up

Yeah, the lack of protection in a hot area is absolutely mind boggling. Indian army/military does not want to adjust.
This is what happens when you have a "peace time/COIN" only leadership who have no issues throwing more bodies into cordon operations instead of thinking about proper strategies. The leadership has to be the most incompetent who apparently only care about their next peace time posting and their next post.

The only strategy that will work is the dismantling of PAK occupied terrorist ground. Flushing them out is insignificant as they can easily run away with their small numbers.

The IA instead to come up with counter ambush methods and keep ALL convoys protected REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY ARE in kashmir. This way, the terrorists will take casualties while ambushing, because clearly flushing them out isn’t working as they escape the cordon every single time.

When Incompetent leadership meets traitorous locals/local support this is what you get.

F**k yar they are too fast and coordinated
Only solution is preemptive strikes
These guys are well versed and educated regarding the area and terrain
U can wait for them to appear and then can hunt them
This was my statement last time too
PRE-EMPTIVE-STRIKE is the only solution

You know @Kumaoni , US and allied forces in Iraq and Afghanistan used to monitor their convoy movements with UAVs like MQ-1s and MQ-9s? They used to retaliate almost immediately in case the convoy isn't able to do so!
Yup. Even in 90s Kashmir IA had more protection via infantrymen for their convoys.

Every Bundeswehr convoy in Mali, when it went outside the wire was monitored with a EGB QRT sanitising the route along with the convoy. Everytime they left the base it had to be in armour.
